View Full Version : k&n air filter for 2.4L purecobalt 11-08-2005, 08:22 PM :usa: Just got the email for those that are interested: :usa: http://www.knfilterchargers.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=33-2311 RaineMan 11-08-2005, 08:48 PM Oh bah to the "replacement filter" :P save your money and get a real intake. :cssNET: Stealth06_SS 11-09-2005, 07:47 PM ya, but that will viod the factory warranty on the whole intake and throttle body won't it. If you go will a replacement filter it doesn't. RaineMan 11-09-2005, 10:51 PM For the dealer to void the warranty they will have to prove that the intake caused damage to the car. So here's a hint... the stock intake comes off no problem (see my post on how) if you get an intake/tb related problem... just revert to the stock one... take her in for service... no problems there.... takes like 5 mins.... *rant* People.... stop worrying about voiding the darn warranty.... an intake isn't gonna cause some catastrophic failure.... it's a freakin metal tube with a cone filter on the end of it. If if caused bad shit to happen the companies wouldn't make 'em.... now would they? As far as check engine lights on the 2.4L's.... I really think the one that's been "reported" on here is a fluke... I haven't had a single problem with mine. Just get out there and do it.... don't fret over the warranty. You'll be a lot happier.... *end rant* averagewhiteboy 11-09-2005, 11:25 PM When I got my AEM on my Accord I effin loved it. * thumbs up * Stealth06_SS 11-10-2005, 12:33 AM ordered replacement filter from K&N website will do the intake after warranty, just in case ;) RaineMan 11-10-2005, 09:55 AM kinda off topic.... but how are you liking those Silver Star headlights? I had 'em on my Ranger and they were pretty nice.... any images of how they look on the 'balts? averagewhiteboy 11-10-2005, 12:38 PM For me? Well if so....lol. they're not a whole lot different output wise than the stockers. However, they're more white, and they make everything much more crisp. I know it sounds like some dumb advertisement...but it's true. I always use the fogs too, but those I just left stock bulbs for now. I'd say to get them. They're like 40 for both I believe. Stealth06_SS 11-10-2005, 03:27 PM I ]LOVE[/B] the silverstars!!!!!!!!!! At night with the fog lights they are awsome. I put one in and left the other at first to see the difference. The stock ones are very yellow compared to the silverstars. I will tell you that it is a pain to get the headlights out, in total it took about hour-hour and half to get taken apart and back together again. You won't be dissapointed!!!!!!!!1 |
