Can an ss beat a 1999 305 mustand?

My friend seems to think he can beat me in his stang. I was just wondering if i could.

305's have some potential, but yes they are GM motors. The 302 maybe what you are thinking of. I'm not sure if the 99's had 302's though. Not sure what year they changed. Just run him and find out.

95 was the last year for the 302 in the mustang.

ya hes got no mods just exhaust. Its a 302 definetly cause he said so. Im doing it for money if you guys say I can.

I dont know about that 5.0. He has no weight in the back end. You can get a good jump on him unless he knows how to take off good without spinning out.

oh you got him if you can drive at all. Im not talking any amazing driving just don't absolutely suck and you'll be fine. And my recommendation, the more road the better and make the victory gap even bigger!

If you're runnin for money, you better look under the hood and talk to people that know for sure what is done to this thing. An 89 GT will need ALOT of work to be able to keep up with a stock SS/SC, let alone one with mods. Those are mid to high 15 second cars.

Research his car to make sure he has no hidden goodies, but I'm tellin you that you will smoke him if it's stock, even with minor bolt ons he has no chance
