Random question about bigger rims
Random question about bigger rims
So I asked my service manager today if when I get new rims if they will recalibrate the speedo for me, he said no its not possible, AND that if i change out to bigger tires I will throw off my ABS and all my front end features, true not true?
He was telling the truth and lying.
Truth about throwing off your ABS with taller tires, but lying about being able to change the tire size in the computer.
The only way you are going to throw off your ABS though, is if you go to a taller overall diameter of a tire. If you increase rim size, decrease the tire aspect ratio by the same proportion.
Check out any tire size calculator on the web, and punch in what you have, and what you will want, but stay within the 3% rule.
