Got my car Dyno'd

Put down 256hp/214tq @ 7300RPM. That was the best pull...My question is, doesn't my tq seem a bit low? I think I coulda dyno'd higher, but he pulled all 4 pulls in fourth gear...(The guy that works there works on imports mainly, and I myself didn't know you have to pull in third to get the most power). Mods in sig. DynaPack chassis dynamometers is the kinda dyno they used.

What kinda dyno and yeah your TQ does seem a little low...but dynos are used more for showing gains not how much definate power you are making

I'll post up the HPTuners log file of all four pulls (You can see my ******* second or fourth (dunno which one it was) cylinder misfire...they've been doing it a lot.) I'll also post the two readouts he gave me soon as I get home.

ya but a 7300rpm there isnt much torque lol. If you have your sheet look at when it was first nailed and see what the torque read there. It will be alot higher.

I'm pretty sure my peak tq was 214...but I could be wrong, my sheets are at home.

No, I haven't...I've only got 6.4k miles on the car, but that's what I thought was the problem too. I'm ordering plugs today, gonna put them on. As for the timing *, I can post it soon as i get home.

What was your HP AND Torque at 5252 RPM? (they should both be the same number at 5252 RPM) That will tell you if the calculations are correct.

id like to see your numbers at 7k and 5252 before i make a comment.

the 7300rpm is definately going to increase your HP which is naturally going to stretch the gap.

corsa is 3" right? that may be some of your issue there.

Anything could happen I guess, but here is my take.

Your dyno was off. Did they clamp into your #1 cylinder spark plug to gauge your RPMS or did they do a wheels sensor or something else.

Here is my reasoning.............

Your Peak HP range is outside of stock Cam specs, and you do not have any sort of those mods listed in Sig. The top end of the SS is 6700 rpms give or take very little. 7300 is far too high, and no doubt higher than the REV limiter on the car unless you changed that, but still has no bearing on your HP peaking so high.

If the dyno was measuring your RPMs wrong, then it makes sense that your HP# is a little higher and your Tq# is a little lower. The reason I figure is that the torque was low because the rpms were rising a little faster than they should have and that would mean that there was less force being applied per RPM, and the HP was higher because the car appeared to gain RPMs faster than it should have.

Depending on type of dyno you would normally expect 240-245hp for your mods, and 225wtq. You are close, but that 500-600 flux in RPMS that I am percieving is throwing their calculations off.

I have seen this happen before.

Except 7300 isn't insane...RL after Stg2 is pushed up to 7200...I don't know why i'm hitting 7300...And yes, it did bounce off the revlim which is why he stopped. Temps were pretty low, keeping my car steady, so it won't go boom lol. Gimme a couple minutes, I;ll grab my charts and post the hpt log.

Something is wrong here. Fuel cutoff on S2 is 7000 on the dot. Sure, you can overspin to 7300 or so, but you won't be making more power without fuel.

I'm saying there could have been an error in the dyno. OR you could have rev limiter raised with HPT. Post your dyno graph, etc.

Yeah dude, you should not be able to rev that high. Stage the limiter is at 7000, I've seen it in HPT. The shop prolly the rpm configuration wrong.
