What do you think about Roof Vinyl?

I checked around and I don't think this is a repost. What do you think? I have a yellow ss/sc w/sunroof and I want to do this with black vinyl. Here is a picture of it done on a BMW w/o sunroof. scroll to the bottom

I wouldn't order that particular one. You want cast vinyl, not calendered. It will last longer and is easier to lay over curved surfaces.

dont do it cause if you have it on for a long time and your paint fades after a couple years then when you take off the vinyl or if it falls off you car will look bad just throwing it out to you

Well, I guess that answers my question. Thanks. I was looking for an alternative to paint to see if I even liked it. I wanted to streamline the front and back windows into one piece. Does anyone know someone that has done it and possibly has picks?
Thanks for the welcome Belto...

Painting the roof honestly wouldnt cost that much. But vinyl is hard to get flat, and with something that large it will almost undoubtedly have bubbles and wrinkles. Plus vinyl isnt shiny like paint, it's dull.

To get the roof repainted black I would suspect it would be ~200-500 dollars.

I just had my driver's door completely repaired and color matched and repainted for 375 cash, so I doont see why the roof should be any more
