just witnessed the most horrific crash......

bike vs semi....

semi was turning and barely out of first gear (had advanced green) and the bike came out of nowhere and smashed into the trucks front end lifting the front wheels off the ground! and this is a fully loaded semi!!!!
the guy was dragged under the truckes tires for a good 25 feet. me and a few others that saw it rished over and lifted the bike off the guy.... all i can say is it was messy and i will never own a bike.
basically just in shock

Sorry you had to see that. I have seen worse but the guy did not live, lets just put it that way. Seen alot of grim things as such. Interesting post, thanks for sharing. I know it helps get stuff off the mind when you share a post like this. Good luck sleeping and +rep for helping the guy out.

Edit Post: Well if I could give you more rep lol.

he is still alive last i heard.. but in serious condition.. crazt stuff specially a day after that school bus colided with that dumptruck and killed that little girl.... and then earlier this week in the NE, a guy was speeding in his 300zx and smoked some other car (the 300 is totaled).. crazy week for car accidents in calgary..

That sucks that you witnessed the crash in person.. that stuff is never good.

I saw something similar when I lived in Houston. My boyfriend at the time was driving me home, we were in the middle of a highway around 11:45pm with not a TON of traffic, but cars here and there on the freeway. Behind us comes a group of 3-4 cars street racing, we had no where to go so Jon kept speed and stayed in our lane, the racers cut around us, then the car to the right had to swerve left quick to avoid another car up ahead just as his "buddy" cut back right, clipped his back end and the guy went almost head on into a jersey barrier, out the front windshield and head first into another concrete piller and jersey barrier.

We were the first and only ones on the scene, all his little "buddies" that were so eager to race were in a helluva hurry to get out of there. We pulled up, the guy that he had swerved to miss doubled back. The guy was gone when we got to him.

That's why I'm adamently against street racing. People always throw in "everyone does it" but I don't and never will. I'd hate for someone to have to come up on a wreck involving me and see the insides of my skull splattered on the ground like we did with that guy.

wow, man, thats to bad you have to experience that,, but you helped as much as you could, I have had to help on a few accidents myself bc I live in front of a street that is hot for street racing,, and the worst thing about knowing CPR and First Aid it the day you have to use them... really if you need help getting over the images, seek it,,

Man I have had a bunch of friends die and come very close to death on bikes, they are just not safe. I will never own one. A girl I work with just recently was involved in a motorcycle accident. The guy was riding, and got cut off and lost control. He dumped the bike and slid right underneath her car, she ran over his head. Some how amazingly he lived and left the scene with bumps and bruises. He just bought the helmet he was wearing to, guess it was worth the $500 he spent on it. I have so many more stories of friends dying and being critical injured but there are just too many stories to tell all of them on here. Bikes are just not safe, most of the time its not even the bikes fault its the other people. Sorry you had to see this stuff man.

Yeah, it takes a while and sorry to say, to some extent the images will stay with you for forever. When I witnessed the wreck I mentioned earlier, it was rough for quite a while. I didn't even want to drive anywhere for fear of seeing the same thing happen again. What's worse is it happened on the road I take to and from work. Really the ONLY road I could take to/from work. The first couple weeks after it happened I would have to pull off the road and throw up, I would come up on that spot and just in my mind see it happening again.

I agree with Belto, see how you're coping in a few days. If you seem to be OK with it, good. If not, don't hesitate to seek help. My ex had a lot harder time dealing with what he saw than I did. He kept thinking maybe if he'd slowed down, sped up, changed lanes, whatever. He couldn't accept that a) he had NO time to react - we saw them and then BAM they were right on us, b) any move he would have made probably would have meant he'd hit us instead, and c) at those speeds, it wasn't going to be pretty at all. The only time now it bothers me is either when I hear about a racing accident or when I know people who are out racing. I just would never want to imagine a friend like that.
