Dude... that seems a little high.... I know I am from Canada and all... but i know guys out in Ontario that have private insurance and are paying under 2000 Canadian... Looks like you are getting ripped by your insurance company...

When your less than 25, rates kinda suck.

Ya its bullshit, but as an added tip man, if you go to them (when your 25) and agree not to let anybody under the age of 25 drive your car, you get a huge ******* discount. my folks did it. lol

i was paying the same, about 4,000/year. when i turned 26 it literally cut in half, down to 2,000 a year. long story short, i pay 2,000 a year LESS for my 2.0 than i did for the 2.2

it's kinda stupid how it works out, but i'm not complaining.

You can try the insurance company that I use. It is the cheapest that I have found and a few of my friends have gotten really good quotes from them also.

Sentry Insurance
1-800-373-6879 or go to Sentry.com

I am not sure they insure people in your location but it doesn't hurt to give them a call.

Good luck!

They base ur insurance off your credit rating.im 24 and i pay 119 a month. i've had 1 accident and 2 tickets. speeding(imagine that) and a seat belt ticket. they can also use one of ur parents credit ratings. but in my case my credit rating is better than my parents. PLATINUM lol

people need to realize cheaper insurance isn't always better insurance... they'll put you through the ringer trying not to cover an accident and then they'll drop you at a moments notice
