My new exhaust. Free-flowing

Well, almost got it done.
Here are some pics of it 90% done.
Just have to do some fabbing on the car itself,
and cut the end of this off at an angle for ground clearance/aesthetics.
No I haven't tried it fired-up yet, and yes, I am scared...
If the shape looks impossible, you'll get it tomorrow.

Beside a "tall" beer can(473ml)

Beside a standard tape..

Aluminum v-band flange

Where I welded the 2.5"-3" transition onto old set-up

Finish it up tomorrow after school....:noes:

Yes, this is for my rsx...:bigpimp:
Burns ultralight 3" muffler, aluminum dump after that.
More pics later tonight of it on-car.

I think it would be great. I agree, do something new. I like loud and proud. It's the Alberta way.

Well, it's loud. It sounds awesome!!!(insert Jeremy Clarkson evil laugh here)
Have to secure some header-wrap, thought I had some laying around...
Gay winter tires spin too much, and squirm under hard accel.
Datalog shows lean conditions between 5800 and 6700, and a little at 78-8100.
Only .4-.8 of an a/f ratio point though, so likely not worth a dyno.

Seriously though, ground clearance FTW!!!

Oh god......I hate stacks. Out here where I live, big jacked up diesels with stacks are everywhere! They always drive past me and floor it so that they can shoot smoke all over me and attempt to impress me like I actually cared, lol. If I was into racing big diesel trucks, I'd go buy a badass trash truck or something.

Revved it to 6000 once there, the rest was to 4-5000 on the blips etc.
Cheers...

Yeah, I thought it turned out ok.
I was expecting the worst.
I find the k-series sounds alot better than the b-series that the civics and integras had.
They were always so tinny and raspy.

Drive-by video might be a few days...

My friends LS CRX has a Tanabe racing full system from Japan. Awesome sound for a Honda. I gotta hear what THIS set-up sounds like though. lol. All I know is when we first fired up the LS, the exhaust ended at the header. So it was fully open pipes. Plus it had a stage 2 clutch and a lightweight flywheel on it. DC headers. So basically this thing was very loud and revved very quick. It sounded like a really dope go-kart. hahahaha

Couple more pics and an in-car video/sound clip

Here is the vid, it's in-car. The drive-by one is too long right now, not sure how to edit it.

1st-4th in car
