E-Town SS 10-28-2007, 03:20 PM Hey, smart move by GM. Some people want 4 doors due to families but also want some performance as well. I think it'll appeal to a lot of people. Spectral 10-28-2007, 03:24 PM I would never be caught in one. But i do think there are ppl out there that would have it. I hope they redesign the sedan though because i jus dont like the look lijewski 10-28-2007, 03:29 PM not me xravenwingsx 10-28-2007, 03:32 PM Hey, smart move by GM. Some people want 4 doors due to families but also want some performance as well. I think it'll appeal to a lot of people. That'd be me--I'm kicking my own ass for getting a coupe when I have a 6-month old son; an SS/TC sedan as a second car would rock. :) amelioj 10-28-2007, 03:34 PM i have a sedan and would get that one too. It's always fun see the dumb look people have when they have a sedan smoke em xravenwingsx 10-28-2007, 03:40 PM ^^^ lol I can imagine!! tonio5555 10-28-2007, 03:49 PM It'll probably be offered in the detuned automatic like the auto HHR SS. Spectral 10-28-2007, 03:52 PM It'll probably be offered in the detuned automatic like the auto HHR SS. maybe as an option but ill bet they have the 5 speed on it. Cobalt_Supercharged 10-28-2007, 04:14 PM Fast sedans are awesome, although I personally don't care too much for the look of the stock Cobalt sedans. 2.4SlowassBalt 10-28-2007, 04:20 PM im interested to see how they do the lip kit on the sedans. 07 SS/SC 10-28-2007, 04:36 PM Its GM's version of the SRT4 which ALOT of people here seem to like. I think there will be a big crowd here with 4 door SS/TC's. Spectral 10-28-2007, 05:08 PM If it looks better than the sedan now it will be popular. but i dont think this sedan design will be popular NJHK 10-28-2007, 05:33 PM EVO much? Delta2.2 10-28-2007, 05:35 PM If it looks better than the sedan now it will be popular. but i dont think this sedan design will be popular X2^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ if u cant get a coupe and u want the power. GO BUY AN HHR TURBO AND STFU :cssNET: thats why they have that. so the Cobalt DOESNT lose its edge as a performance coupe. if a sedan comes out i will lose some respect for the cobalt. shame...........:thumbsdow NJHK 10-28-2007, 05:37 PM X2^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ if u cant get a coupe and u want the power. SS07 10-28-2007, 06:19 PM SS/TC as a sedan would be cool, haha that spoiler on it!!!! That would be awesome seriously. 07 SS/SC 10-28-2007, 06:23 PM Trust me... I've gotten soo used to having 4 doors now I wouldn't give it up. Delta2.2 10-28-2007, 06:43 PM  i wish "they" would announce that they plan to kill themselves:rolleyes: lol exactly. even if we dont have respect, my vision of GM performance vehicals doesnt include sedans in that mix especially if they have a coupe version out with the same stuff. like the G8 i can understand. no coupe model so a sedan powerful machine is ok to me. same with SRT4 neon same with WRX same with EVO same with mazdaspeed3 acura's RSX type S was ONLY a coupe option and Honda civic's Si is like the Cobalt Sport so that doesnt count all the sedan lovers i can apreciate ur passion for speed with 4 doors, im just biased towards 2 door coupes but everyone has their opinions. AGAIN, if u want something with 4 doors and powerful, GO BUY AN HHR SS TURBO at least BMW figured it out to call the coupes and sedans different names like M3 and M5 12eha13 10-28-2007, 06:59 PM lol exactly. even if we dont have respect, my vision of GM performance vehicals doesnt include sedans in that mix especially if they have a coupe version out with the same stuff. like the G8 i can understand. no coupe model so a sedan powerful machine is ok to me. same with SRT4 neon same with WRX same with EVO same with mazdaspeed3 acura's RSX type S was ONLY a coupe option and Honda civic's Si is like the Cobalt Sport so that doesnt count all the sedan lovers i can apreciate ur passion for speed with 4 doors, im just biased towards 2 door coupes but everyone has their opinions. Finally though..a 4 door to compete with the other turbo 4 doors haha. Spectral 10-28-2007, 07:24 PM for sure, but only if it looks like the 2005 Concept with the coupe rear end: http://cobaltss.net/gallery/files/7/2/7/DSC00111.JPG  oh sweet find ive never seen that. if it has that i wouldnt be that bad of a car. I still dont like sedans much but NICE! cobalt9123 10-28-2007, 07:27 PM yea..the four door LS/LT's look kinda like GM just crammed a door in there..didn't really have space for it, that's just my opinion though lol Bobalt921 02-13-2008, 11:41 PM its a prity bad ass idea i think cuse i dont really like 2 doors i like sports sedans personally wannabefastss 02-14-2008, 12:52 AM i think you young studs don't know what your talking about. First of all Dodge stop making the srt-4 so its a great opportunity to market the sedan with turbo, and with it hooked up with the 5-speed auto would make it even better. (hence the 5-speed auto in the solctise and sky). seller232004 02-14-2008, 01:17 AM i have a SS sedan right now and would love to buy the new tc sedan, idk i just like my 4doors. REIGN SS 02-14-2008, 01:19 AM I want one... GULLABLE0NE 02-14-2008, 01:19 AM i own an SS coupe and i will be trading it in for an SS/tc coupe. i have no need for the extra space a sedan provides but if it was to have a rear like posted above (coupe rear end) and a low pro spoiler (high deck would look rediculous) then it would look more reasonable as a sporty sedan. the srt4 neon looks real beefy compared to the base neons and the additional appearance mods makes a huge difference in its success. i bet half the srt4 owners never would touch one if the looked like the boring base models. having the sporty performance definitly helps the sales of a sedan but if it looks like my granny would drive it the sales wouldn't be nearly as high as if it looked like a roid raged sedan. Mnatvyc1223 02-14-2008, 01:21 AM so no pics of this said sedan??? I want one... i want those tail lights if you ever get one... KillerBee 02-14-2008, 01:25 AM Jackalope already said he wanted one i would take one but i have my ss/sc Victory06 02-14-2008, 01:44 PM lol exactly. even if we dont have respect, my vision of GM performance vehicals doesnt include sedans in that mix especially if they have a coupe version out with the same stuff. like the G8 i can understand. no coupe model so a sedan powerful machine is ok to me. same with SRT4 neon same with WRX same with EVO same with mazdaspeed3 acura's RSX type S was ONLY a coupe option and Honda civic's Si is like the Cobalt Sport so that doesnt count all the sedan lovers i can apreciate ur passion for speed with 4 doors, im just biased towards 2 door coupes but everyone has their opinions. AGAIN, if u want something with 4 doors and powerful, GO BUY AN HHR SS TURBO at least BMW figured it out to call the coupes and sedans different names like M3 and M5 Just because the Civic Si has performance closer to a Cobalt Sport doesn't make it "like" one. Regardless, it's the top performance Civic and is available in both two and four door models. The two door RSX was replaced by the four door TSX since the coupe only RSX wasn't selling enough models to justify its existence (after it replaced the more popular two and four door Integra). Acura also didn't care for the image the RSX gave the brand. The BMW M5 is four door only - since the 5 series is four door only. The M3 comes in both 2 and 4 door versions. There are far more performance sedans on the market than coupes nowadays. Almost everyone's biased toward two door coupes when they're young. But sometimes you have to be more practical. I have a coupe right now, but I also have two kids. I prefer coupes, too, but probably will get a 4 door for my next car. And maybe some people don't want the wagon look of the HHR? gre23a 02-14-2008, 01:51 PM Trust me... People can't respect you guys any less than they already do now LOL that a good one Delta2.2 02-14-2008, 09:09 PM if the coupe is manual only and the sedan is manual or auto then this is a good move :) an0malous 02-14-2008, 09:14 PM thats a great idea. then we wont have to argue with people driving stick who have no clue how, and blame the clutch all the time. they can just buy the auto and stfu. BIG-DAVE 02-14-2008, 09:20 PM if they have that i might go and pick one up cause im a fan of sedans kovich14 02-16-2008, 01:37 PM I am extremely excited that they are offering the TC in a sedan. I have a kid on the way, so if I were to trade in my SS coupe (which I am seriously considering), I would prefer a sedan. I do hope they gice it a facelift though; the current sedan is practical but not sexy. An auto trans would be a must though as my wife doesnt drive manual and I sure as hell aint teachin' her in a new SS. WISH LIST: TC Sedan w/ refreshed rear end Auto trans Price tag @ $25,000 or less Oh, and as far as the no respect for the Cobalt comment, I unfortunately have to agree with you guys. A manufacturer can build the biggest, baddest, best-designed car in the world sedan or otherwise, but if you stick a big-mouthed, zit-faced kid in it. . . it's gonna look bad. REIGN SS 02-16-2008, 01:39 PM thats a great idea. then we wont have to argue with people driving stick who have no clue how, and blame the clutch all the time. they can just buy the auto and stfu. but then they will wonder why there 236HP limited Auto is slower then the 5spds  |
