Looking for a few good men or women to work as crew.

So here's the deal. Sometime in the near future (looking like either January or March) I'll be moving to Indiana, PA which is located about an hour and 1/2 north east of Pittsburgh. As some of you know, my intentions for next year are to race in the NHRA Sport Compact Racing Series, NOPI, and Battle of the Imports. I'm looking for a few good crew members that are willing to go to events with me and bring their knowledge and help work on my car next season. I'm going to need help inbetween rounds making sure everything on the car is safe, operating fine, starting line procedure such as staging ect., and general maintainence on the car.

I'm going to be new to the East Coast and would love to meet some of the cobalt people out there. I'm hoping that there are some qualified people on here that would like to help out and have some fun in the process.

Next year is a busy year with 16 races planned anywhere from NJ to Florida and NJ to California.

If you're interested or have questions, let me know.

Thanks again,

Daniel-

Honestly, you being on the other side of the state isn't that much of an issue. It's getting you to the tracks that is. Only about a 3 hour drive probably, not that bad .

Anyone interested?

What the **** makes you want to live in Indiana, PA.

Um, well, there's about 20 of us around. Depending on schedules and a lot of other factors, you can probably find some people.

Well, my Uncle is the Dean of Technology at IUP and most of my family is moving there anyway and I'd be the only one left on the west coast.

I'm hoping that someone might be able to help out.

As for NED, it's on the schedule.

What I'm hoping that if worse comes to worse that people can show up to the races, even if it's just one and help. Every little bit helps and I thought it'd be a great way for some people from the community to get involved and meet up.

As for NED, there's no plans to go there but stick to the schedule already planned out.

Ah, I'm just now finishing my MS at IUP.

Depends on what your needs are, there are a LOT of people that run the TnTs at PRP, I just don't know about traveling.

And good luck finding a pit crew been trying to get one going for a while for the road races, but no one other than the boyfriend ever shows up.

I'm going in a totally opposite direction from you, I'm trying to work my way up in the road racing and auto-x realms so I might not be of much assistance, but we'll see. Depends on when stuff goes on.

Um, we'll see. I'm sure you'll have at least a few taker maybe for the build part. We're always curious about that stuff, we've got a little bit of everything here, but to be honest we've only ever done 2.0/2.4 stuff, never touched at 2.2. But it'd still be interesting.

Well the build isn't even being done in PA, it'll be in Texas. After its' completely done, then it'll be taken to PA.

As for the engine, it's pretty different from the normal 2.2L. From what I was told is that there is a new GM Build Book coming out pretty soon that is updated to what the engine contains. Those who are interested and are willing to help will receive a book so they can read up and know exactly what to do with the engine.

I'm also needing people with a good amount of knowledge on turbo systems and how to maintain them. Ex: take apart the turbo, wastegate.

Well, when I get my car back fully done, I'll let you know how much of a difference there really is.

hey id be willing to help out at some of the meets if they dont conflit with my race sheduale. IM a GM ASEP student so that helps a little. Depending on what we are doing next year i would love to make it out.

To be honest I hate drag racing in general. I work on 358 sprint cars. So most of my knowledge involves going fast and turning left on dirt. but this is just another chance for me to extend my knowledge and another chane to learn.

and remember, dirts for racing, asphalts for getting you there. haha , good luck man.
