well i have my xtc 2.5 inch downpipe on and i threw a code a whiles back. but today im driving on the freeway and im going like 55 because traffic slowed down so i merge into the next lane, downshift to 3rd gear and floor it. all of the sudden my car just kinda changes exhaust tones. im like wtf is going on?? so i look down at my guage cluster trying to see if something went on. but to my surprise my check engine light went off my car sounds like a wrx right now but without the speed lol. its not in engine power reduced mode cause im able to drive the car normally with no indication of problems. the car does feel a little more sluggish than normal. so i think i clogged my high flow cat. that would explain the no check engine light because less material is going threw the cat because of the clog. is this accurate? may i have a different problem?

im prolly going to change my downpipe out for the stocker sometime in the near future. so i might sell the downpipe if possible or just gut the cat. now if i gut the cat would that be worse for my car?
