cost of traffic violations is going up
cost of traffic violations is going up
DISCLAIMER:IM NOT SURE IF THESE ARE TRUE, BUT A LADY AT WORK GAVE US ALL A LETTER STATING THESE TICKET PRICES, IVE DONE RESEARCH AND SOME OF THE COSTS DONT ADD UP.... JUST THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE USEFUL IF THE FINES ARE TRUE.
Hey guys i just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up for some new ticket prices that i think start out at the beginning of the year.
car pool/hov violation is now going to be 1068.50$ first offense, 2nd and 3rd offense are 1068 x 2, and the 4th is a loss of ur license for a yr.
their will be like a 150-200 something dollar ticket for using ur cellphone while driving, unless ur using a hands free device.
lane change without proper signal is somewhere near 300
no seatbelt is now 124 and the driver and whatever passenger that isnt wearing their belt each get a ticket. driver gets a ticket even if his/her belt was on.
thats all i can remember for now, so with all that being said
KEEP IT CLEAN GUYS.

I have heard about the HOV lane citation being over a grand. I also heard about the cellphone law but I never heard the amount so that is helpful. I hope that the changing lanes without a signal is not true though cause that would SUCK!!!

I think seatbelt tickets should be $300 each... If the fed gov is really serious about the "click it or ticket" **** then it should come w/ a serious fine
its different for each state..
i got a speeding ticket of $180 for doing 7 over.. a 52 in a 45... really pissed me off.. at 2 in the morning coming home from the saw 4 midnight showing

Keeping Your CDL
Those carrying commercial driver's licenses are held to a higher standard than ordinary drivers. This is true even when you're off duty and driving in your own car. Be aware of the following regulations:
Drugs and alcohol: If you test positive for drugs or alcohol while driving a commercial vehicle, you will be disqualified to drive such vehicles and your CDL will not be reinstated until you have proof that you've completed a drug or alcohol education or treatment program.
Traffic violations: If you are convicted of two serious traffic violations within three years while operating either your personal vehicle or a commercial vehicle, you will lose your license for 60 days. Three violations gets you a 120-day suspension.
Other ways to lose your CDL:
DUI
DWI
Leaving the scene of an accident
Using a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony
Refusing to take a blood alcohol test
Driving a commercial motor vehicle when your CDL is revoked, suspended, canceled, or disqualified
Causing a fatality through negligent operation of a commercial motor vehicle
If convicted of any of the above offenses while operating a vehicle placarded for hazardous materials, you'll lose your CDL for three years. If there's a second offense, whether the same or different, you could lose your CDL for life. If you use a commercial vehicle in the making, selling, or distribution of drugs, you will never be entitled to a CDL again.

I am not sure, I could not find any info on that. I would assume they are talking about moving violations, but a 10 over speeding ticket might not be "serious." Its probably more for wreckless driving and stuff, but again not sure.
