A Heated Garage...

That is a tough call, Wax the **** out of the car in the Fall and hope that you dont hurt the clearcoat.

I would choose a car brush that had no metal on it.

I always let my car run for a bit. the heat tends to get the snow all melted on the bottom then you can just let it melt or slide it off wiithout any problems

Wax it good now...

Then when you need to start your car so the hood and windows are easier to clean and just use a brush... remeber back in 6th grade when you learn about rocks and hardness??? A soft brush doesnt scrtach a waxed clearcoat no matter how hard you push..

If it's not too deep one of those car squeegees. If it's real deep, I use the brush but make sure to not put it down to the metal, only go part way into the snow. Sometimes the snow sticks to the brush and you get chunks of it clear off without touching the paint, if there's some left, go back to using the squeegee once you've got the deep stuff cleared off.

Just drive really, really fast. The combined wind resistance and heat from the engine blows it off in chunks!

I just brush most of it off.. but leave a layer on.. It will eventually fall of the car itself..

Most of the time you get a layer of ice under the snow anywaz. .So I mean doesnt matter which way you look it it.. It probably scratches either way.. Maybe not really the ice more then maybe a harder snow brush..

Lets face it.. The car is gonna get marks, dings and scratches no matter how hard you dry for it not to happen.. Give it a bit and it will happen.. It won;t stay new for every unforuntaly.. I wish they could come up with a paint that will not get any marks (including spider marks from like cloths and stuff)..

Mine is a lease, so even if my car gets some scratches I don't care.. Cause it's getting traded in at the end of my lease term anyhow.. Sure I wanna keep it in as good condition as I can cause I am gonna be drivin it for like 4yrs. But in the same respect.. If it does get marks it don't matter cause I wont own it and I will have another brand new car/truck..

Tom,

I just use my glove to get it off of the body of the car (usually a fleece glove). I have an OXO snow brush to remove it from the windows (very soft brush).

Hope this helps
