Where are they? know where i can find any? I have seen Rob's run back in the day..i just haven't seen anyone run 12's. I wanna see E.T. on the the trap lights.

There was a guy in this area doing 12.5x. His name is BillyG. But he sold his Cobalt and got a Mustang GT.

 

I wish some of the guys with the fast balts actually posted their slip and vids on here, I've yet to see anything faster than mid 13's, I know they have to be out there.

 

There is a guy local, ran 12.5 best. Seen him race, and that ******* car moves.

 

Yea the BillyG. guy cammed his car ect....actually lived across the water from us 06SS2SS I am thinking of doing the same just stop doing all of this petty spending and save up....

good vids! you were not far off from 12's! How come you didn't try with the supercharger?

 

Most of the fastest SS/Redlines Ive heard of just simply arent on the internet or havent been to a dragstrip yet . Ive seen Robs car in person , and that the only fast one Ive seen . His buddies silver SS was capable of 12's , but never made it to a track to verify before it was returned to stock as a lease turn in . Dons car runs 12's , but theres no video that Im aware of .

 

All those track vids are with various mods all still factory s/c'd the high 13 sec runs were with either the stock pulley and tune or a 3.0" pulley and tune. All 13.3-13.5 runs were with the 2.55 pulley and meth.
Turbo has only been in the car a few weeks and still haven't finished dialing in the tune yet... but it's at 98% now. Just need to boost leak test, put the bigger tb back in and fix my off idle hickup and she's done.

 

if youtube was flooded with 12.5 cobalts, you guys would go around trashing all the other cars out there.. saying the cobalt is the bestest. maybe thats why they dont post their vids.

or the slips (shown to the mods) are from other cars, and called cobalt timeslips.

 

....and theres just a complete ass load of peope that simply dont like the net and dont care to flaunt or talk about their rides .

I was mostly bracket racing the car, so going for consistancy not all out et

btw should be hitting the track again in a few weeks slipping stock clutch and all I think I can pull off a mid to low 12 on the stock clutch.

he went 12.84 @112 if I remember correctly.
Don't worry those numbers will be shattered once I get my car to the track, and destroyed even more when I get the clutch in

 

guy down my way that went 12.60's but he's spraying n20 and running slicks

so lets stop pretending there are a bunch of fast cobalts hiding and not going on the net lol.

The reason there are no videos, is because there are very few cobalts that run that fast. Even if they did exist and ran that fast at the track, and wanted to "not go on the net", other people would have those runs on video and post them up anyways.

and i'm talking about the 12 sec passes...
