Sol

Well i am officially SOL...I found a super nice SS/SC for sale 82 miles away from me..but i cant get it! It has everything i want, but i owe way too much on my car. My car is only the 05 LS Coupe so its trade in is super low. Lets just say i owe 14k and its only worth 9k for trade in. Even if i try to sell it private seller...im stuck with only about 10k. I have 40k miles on it and its only going to get worse so i guess im stuck with this LS for 4 more years I hate it when dealerships screw you over.....

dealer didn't screw you...your patience did. Should have waited instead of settling on an LS.

Don't forget you could always turbo your coupe, and edge out or be faster than an sc

I've tried looking for turbos for my car but not much use cuz i have an automatic. I dont know if it would even be worth it to put one in. If i could have a competitive LS i wouldnt be so down and out. I owe 14k cuz my old car put 2.7k negative equity and my interest is kinda high [10.5%]. I bought my car for 11k. Eh i originally got the LS cuz i didnt have as much money to spend and had a shitty job. But thats ok, there's plenty of stuff to add to it but im not sure about getting engine parts yet. Im not sure what would help an automatic be "competitive".

I cant seem to find a turbo for the automatic 2.2L. Not to mention im new to the whole racing/competitive thing so i have no clue how to really race an automatic. I can already manage to start off the line ok, but im only going against ricers here.

We could figure something out......Nitouse Oxide comes to mind. Super easy to set up with an automatic and will cost a fraction of what a turbo set up would. When you want the power just turn it on...and it is easy to remove back to stock.

Sorry to sidebust, but you should come out to the races sometime. Plenty of ricers, but many fast cars too.

I would bet that the Hahn kit will work on the 2.2L when better tuning is available. Its not a fitment issue since it works on the 2.4L auto. Probably won't be too long, start saving.

Tuning is really your only main issue. Cuz you could probably build a custom turbo for a good price but tuning it would be the issue since tuning 2.2's in general is an issue right now.

I know squat about the whole F.I thing. I can work on my truck no problem, but this car is a whole new thing to me. I couldnt even figure out how to change the oil when i first got it. If i had a place to experiment with my car i would..buttttt...im kinda stuck on this POS island and the cops love to look at sporty cars. So any and all parking lots are off limits. If i can find some nice parts to make it better i would love to get them. Unfortunately 2.2 parts are expensive. ugh. If only i had money........

I'll do it if i can find nice parts that wont cost me an arm and a leg! Not to mention people to install them for me. Im an idiot when it comes to that. I just lost my job so it might be awhile til' i get money to buy stuff though. I'll definatly be making a list of stuff though
