Ok, what will eliminating the catalytic converter do..if anything?? will a cel come on, i was thinking not cuz the o2 sensor is in front of the cat anyways...also...the 08 cobalt's are gonna be turbo'd...?? where was this information derived from...sorry i'm not all up on the cobalt ss/sc information...i did see that their isn't going to be a sc 08 cobalt.....it's actually my fiance's..car

 

The 08 Cobalt SS will be turbocharged... a 2.0 Liter LNF Engine. I don't know about the cat... I have never liked cats... We can't have any, b/c my dad is allergic to them.

 

there is an o2 sensor before and after the cat....yes, a check engine light will come on. Probably a p0420 for catalytic efficency.
