i had this realization 4 months ago. a good tune will lower that IDC some but you still are gonna be at 100% on the stage 2 pulley. all of the stage 2 cars are like this.

...how people get away with smaller pulleys on the stage 2 injectors/tune is a mystery.

if i had known then what i know now....
gm stage kits are WEAK SAUCE. i wish i didnt waste my money on it. for the same price or less i coulda bought injectors, pulley, and tuning.

well, i'll clarify my comment. the stage 2 is a decent gain for someone who has warranty issues or doesnt want to mess with their vehicle. but for the rest of us, aftermarket FTW

ive always kinda had the feeling that IDC isnt being properly calculated for us.

because look at how many people run/ran 2.8s for a LONG time now.
and there has not been a single popped engine from it so far.

something just doesnt add up, ya know?

well with that being said, im certain a 2.8 is pushing it....because i could distinctly feel my car falling on its face after 6500rpms, and when i went to 60s that was completely gone.

but yeah. somethins gotta be off.

did you need a tune when you went to the 60 lb injectors? or does it matter?

yes, you have to tune new injectors, they are not plug and play.

Im going to finally dyno my car within a week or so. I really want to see what the A/F ratio looks like.. Everytime I spray, it runs fine. I just raced a BMW Z4 M3 last night and took him by 3 cars on a 2nd gear 30mph roll. We shutdown at 120mph. The car pulled very hard all the way, engine temp was at 185. It only went up 5 degrees.

But I really have to get it dynoed. Your numbers are starting to worry me.....................
