what is the best battery i can get?

Ok heres the deal, im lookin for the best possible battery for what i have, i have 2 800W pioneer premier mono amps and a 40 X 4 pioneer amp for my interiors. does anyone know what the best battery would be, i have no clue if i should get a deep cycle or not and what size i need. i have been running all of this for about a year off my stock battery and its not really cutting it anymore, not to mention my alt is shot so im doing everything rite this time and want the best. thanks in advance

good choice. Just take emasurements of the battery tray area and then go to autozone and measure their optimas, thats what i just did with my friends eclipse since they didnt list a size for it on their website.

look on battery you will see something called the CCA or cold cranking amps your going to have to atleast get that size of that number you can go higher but DO NOT GO SMALLER or you will have problems but for brands i was tolde optmium {SP) is the best.

[sarcasm]you're right i lied...[/sarcasm]

you'll have better luck with a stronger alternator if you haven't upgraded that already, and also upgrading your ground wire from the battery to chassis, the power wire from the battery to main junction, and the power wire from the alternator to the battery. probably like 4 gauge if you can.

the best batteries you can buy are optima... I use them in my truck and my two boats... Ive been meaning to get one for my car because Im pushin some power in my car too, but they are alittle pricy... but definatly worth it... so i mean if you have the money go for it...

i've had a handful of friends who have had problems with optimas in cars that didn't even have systems in them FWIW.

You need a good cap. and alternator more than a good battery.

screw optima, the best battery out there for this purpose is the kinetik 2800 but it wont fit in the stock location, so go with a kinetik 1800, the 1800 its pretty much the same thing as 1 and a half yellow tops
