Towing company kill my car

unforchantly i got a 24 hour suspention, so they had to to my car to the inpound.
somwere between were i had to leave it and there yard it fell off the back of the ******* tow truck.any way to make a long story short, i had to fight with the insuance company and the towing company for quite so time to get it fixed.
just got it back and realized the front bumper is loose as hell, and they painted it a differnt shade of red. so neelesss to say its goin back tomorrow.
thants may rant.

lol... but true, If you would have not gotten yourself suspended, you car would have never been towed.

And why didn't you drive it home? I din't know that you can't drive your own car when suspended.

Even though he got suspended, That should have NEVER happened to his car! You would expect that the tow truck driver would actually be competent enough to get his car from point A to point B without totally ******* it up! That tow truck driver should lose his business license. Dropping a car off of a tow truck is very dangerous and unsafe to the rest of us driving on the road. He should be suspended!

Agree totally.

Whatever the guy did to get his license suspended is irrelevant. It's not like the driver said "Hey, this douche got his license suspended, let's drop his car on the road." That could have been ANYONE's car.

I agree, I would pursue some further action on it, DEFINITELY turn it into the Better Business Bureau (or whatever equivalent you have in CA) and the department of highway safety. That could have not only killed your car, but killed someone else on the road. It's not like securing a car is something that's a far stretch for a towtruck driver to know how to do - that's their BUSINESS.

when i thought my car broke down in the park (long story) the gm tech told me i would have to have my car towed to the dealer. as soon as he said 'tow' my heart turned to stone and droped into my gut. i know what can happen to cars when the tow guy is in charge; and I dont ever want my baby towed.

When my fuel pump went, I had to sit and watch my car lay there pathetically on the flatbed. I'd turn around and it's sad little eyes were right behind me like "Please, no, I'm sorry, can we talk about this? I should be driving, I promise I won't break again, just get me offa here...."

The towing company should be paying ALL the damages, since it was completely their fault. Why get your insurance record all fucked up for someone else's mistake?

^^^Agreed with the above and most of the others... also, you should have taken your car to the dealer you got the car from, no matter what the towing companys insurance said, i have had a few things where other insurance companys have bitched and complained about taking it to their body shops, their mechanics, i explained that my car is warrentied from gm and the deal i purchased it from, so no matter what you say or estimates your get, its going to my stealership

I used to work for towing companies in both Tennessee and New York State. Anything happens to that car while in the possession of the towing company is the responsibility of the tow company and their insurance. PERIOD. That's why we're insured. And seriously, how stupid does one have to be to drop a car off a truck??? Idiots.

I know we're a sue-happy nation, but if this is a legitimate story, I'd consider getting a lawyer involved, as much as that hurts to say, especially if the car means that much to you. You insurance company may also get on the bandwagon seeing as it really wasn't 'directly' your fault the car was damaged.

Good luck!

Similar thing happened to brothers trans am. They scratched and dented the entire left side and the front of the hood. No luck with the tow company. About 3 grand in damage all together
