Hey guys since I am paying for an extended 5 year warranty I decided not to void it, lol. I was going to buy the GMPP performance exaust, GMPP performance air intake, and the GMPP extrude honed manifold. I was wondering what kind of HP gains the car would be getting, after installation. thanks.

Possibly 30whp all told. Between 25-40whp for sure - 40 if you're extremely lucky.

no, it doesn't. and you can get an exhaust from ANY company, it won't void your warranty. if someone is trying to sell you a gm intake for the ss/sc, they don't know what they're talking about. if it's a dealer you're going to get it from, find a new dealer and never go back there. ever.

some dealerships will sell the AEM ss/sc intake but thats not really the gmpp intake... and as far as how much gain you'll see about 5 from an intake (maybe) 5 from the extrude honed manifold, and 10 or so from the cat back ( which catback are you going with? borla gmpp or gmpp corsa)

honestly though your dealership has to prove that the part you installed caused the failure if it's aftermarket. intakes on the ss/sc really don't do much for gains they're more in the line of increased whine.. a true header and downpipe combo would probably give you 15 or so whp as opposed to the meager 5 from the extrude honed manifold. your best bet would be to get stage 2 600$ covered by warranty and 40 hp is better then about 1000 bux and 20 hp right?

I already have a stage 2 kit. I was just looking for a nice combo that would be covered under warranty, dont know too much bout this car yet, just got it a month ago.

lol we wish.

at best, the gm manifold, intake and exhaust MIGHT give you 20whp, 25 at the VERY most.

I believe you what you guys are saying, but isn't this a gmpp intake? http://gmaccessoriesstore.com/performance-intake-with-without-california-emmissions-engines-p-1780.html?cPath=35_61_154_164

they are listing the same intake for all 3 motors. that one will work on the 2.2 and 2.4l, however the 2.0 sc is quite different.

that intake does not work with the 2.0 trust us...

2.2/2.4 Intake aligns to the passenger side.

The 2.0 aligns to the drivers side.

ntakes on the ss/sc really don't do much for gains they're more in the line of increased whine.

when i put my k&n intake on, i noticed the car picked up quite a bit faster than with the stock intake... plus yes, it was louder. heh. but better pickup and better throttle response. doesn't give you too much of a speed boost, but i think the pickup made it well worth the price.

and yeah, in the ss/sc, the intake is down in front of the left front tire. 2.2 and 2.4's its like in that picture.

I have the GMPP honed exh manifold and GMPP sport exhaust and am very happy!

go w/ the air box mod and you can just put the cover back on when going to the dealer.... hence no voided warranty and you'll save some $$$$$ :twothumbs

the combo of the 3 is really nice, the car will wind up much smoother than stock and you'll just love the whine:cssNET:
