16" aluminum wheels for ss/sc

im going to be looking for some winter wheels soon. now i hate steelies at any time of year, and being we dont get to much snow in my area and have a fairly mild winter, using aluminum wheels isnt out of the question.

so is there ant 5x110 16" aluminum wheels that came factory??? i know the hhr had some 17s, same with the ion redline. did the 2.4 ss come with 16s??? what about the hhr, did it come with 16" aluminum at any point???

i just really dont what steelies on my car, and i dont want to kill my freshly refinished gunmetal 18s with the salt.

Don't bother spending the money on OEM rims. Snow means road salt....buy a cheap aluminum rim.

actualy were i am they dont use salt, just sand. if it gets real bad out they skip the salt and go right to liquid magnesium chloride. mainly its the sand im worried about pitting the clearcoat.

those lime green wheels, those 16s or 17s??? looks like with a 17 i can still have a decent sidewall, may go that route if there are no 16" aluminum wheels avalible.

oh what exactly are those wheels off of??? are they from a 2.4ss, ion, ect???

They won't fit, the bolt pattern is wrong. You need 5x110.

i bought a set of chevy HHR new take-off's from ebay last year for $102.50 for the set of 4. they are the 16" aluminum and don't look all that bad. My car looks more like a base model with them on. Its kinda funny. the tires are Michelin x-ice 205/60/16.

not the 07's with sport package. 05 and 06 base models all have the 4x100 though.

Ah yes....I didn't notice you were from Canada. I spent 6 months living in Winnipeg last year and was surprised they did not use road salt. Either way, you can get a cheap set of 16" rims from tire rack under $79 a piece.

im from canada, but we get very little snow and ice were i am (west coast, i live 5 minutes from the border). our winters consist of lots of rain, usualy is around freezing, every so often we get a few days of -10 (~20f) weather were salt doesnt work anyways.

the 16" hhr wheels is kinda what im after. as i said, i hate steelies so id rather pick up a set of those for cheap.

I picked up a set of 16" wheels and tires from a G6. They are not going to win any awards but they were cheap!

yea not worth it. so many cheap 16s on e-bay but shipping makes it not worth it.found a set of those local but the junkyard wants $400/each. this is the same junkyard that wanted $7000 for a complete lsj motor/trans/wiring/computer with 20k km on it.

im continueing looking localy, but looks like ill end up putting some all seasons on my 18s or steelies.
