this is true.. some kid i work with came in today making fun of my car cause i had the black steelies on. i was just thinking in my head you drive a honda with big chrome rims and a huge chrome fart can that will both get all fucked up when the salt trucks come. and today was the first real snow where i live.

Thanks for the comments, yes they do have a crazy looking tread..... look almost like rally tires or something..... I was looking online and it says they are 25.3" diameter and my 225/40s are 25.1 but these tires look atleast 1" taller, they spin fairly easily on dry pavement(we havnt gotten that much snow yet....just one snowfall last week.....) but first is way easier to launch and feels abit longer(due to taller tires) and when you get into second, you are more in the powerband it feels....that is if they hook up.... so i am going to go with a taller tire for my summers..... one guy said 245/40r18s fit with no rubbing and i think i am going to try 17x8 with 245/45r17s next summer if i got the money....
I am sure i wont have to many traction probs, even with a 2.6" pulley....

If you really want howling, you should hear my 38.5" super swampers on my truck....

typical. i know for me it surprises people when they see steelies and a low rise, and then hear the super

plus, my winter wheels feel SOOOO much better than the summers. the bigger tire totally makes for a much smoother drive.

www.tirerack.com or anyother website..... I price these out.....and it was like 800-900 shipped to edmonton...... just a hint, look up the chevy HHR they have the same 5x110 bolt pattern and they show 16" rims.....the cobalt ss/sc only show 18s and the ss/na only show 17s..... look for sport edition rims, they usaully go for about $80-100+ each...... then look for some cheap winter tires in 215/55r16, winterforce are fairly cheap theres the dunlop graspic also that arent to bad..... most of the local tire shops in canada sell the 16" steelies and winter tires for about 1100+.....
