same motor but dont waste your money on the gm header. and if you do actually do this. its a very long process for a 2.2 and its probably not a good outcome unless youve got some $$$

well its not that simple... yes the engines are the same but there is not tuning avallible to the public so your gunna need to find a way to do that... thats one of the biggest problems.... plus you can physically put the LSJ head on the 2.2 but theres a problem with i think the cam position sensor.... My suggustion is to SEARCH... youll find much more info doing that...

what do you mean no tuning I thought you can use hp tuning software? I haven't checked to see if they have it for the cobalt yet.I been reading this is why I posted I can't seam to find some good info.

why is it a waste to use a 2.2? its not like im going to get a supercharger and bolt it on.I will be getting a block and building it up. but really I am just getting info for right now.I am just saying a lot of cavaliers use a 2.2 and there pushing some good power.also what about putting a 2.0 in ?LSJ? in.

like 95 said above me... tuning is out for the 2.4 and the 2.0 ecotec engines.. but not for the 2.2. its all about the computers in the cars. the only company to have it but not to the public is SCT... theirs is only avalible to the people who buy the garrett turbo kit... and thats for manuals only... so if you have a manual go buy the turbo kit because thats the only way tuning is avalible

all in all it would be just better to buy a 4 door ss? with the 2.4 and just supercharge that. I don't want a 2 door.

theres a possibility that the LNF turbo cobalt will come in 4 door.
that would definately be the best option

If you haven't yet bought the balt and want to supercharge a 4 door get the 2.4 SS. There is alreayd tuning available for it, people have already bolted on superchargers with some great results. Ask Beck. 2.2's dont have tuning through HP Tuners, but you can piggy back. Yellowshowbalt or Sw4y13 are the ones to talk about that process.

You could wait and see if the LNF turbo comes in 4 doors but I think a supercharger build would be much more fun and definitely more unique
