might want to scuff it up a little bit. make sure you primer it, use light coats of paint first. take your time.

You might want to use High Temp Paint. Like stated, scuff and prime will help the paint "Stick" better. Start with lighter coats, wetsand if it gets uneven, then you can gradually increase the paint.

You would be better off taking it and getting it powder coated. It is garunteed to hold up to any heat that way plus its way more durable than paint

x2 i wanted to paint mine, but i noticed a sensor (maybe a cam sensor?) near the oil cap, and i really was just unaware of what to do here. i was going to take a wire wheel to scuff it up and get some of the caked on residue off, and the prime it, and paint it. One thing I do know is...if u take it off n buff it up, DON'T LEAVE IT! if u do...oil it up or it will oxidize(rust) really quick!!!
