My Sedan won't start today

Well I got up thanksgiving morning and got all ready to head out to see family, I go out to start my sedan to get her all warmed up and guess what.... the son of a bitch won't start. I was getting juice from the battery and when you turn the key the lights dimmed but nothing more. The starter wasn't even remotely turning at all, I checked the battery and my volt meter said I had a full charge... nothing.

I fired up my Z24 which I haven't drove in over a month and 1/2 (last time it started too) and oddly enough it started but I could tell the battery was dead and good for one crank(last time I let it sit without being started up that long). Topped off my fluids on it and drove it to my sedan, tried to jump start but that didn't seem to be the issue. I said ah **** it and I left in my Cavailer. Come back later tonight and went to my sedan to start it up and it fired right up. hummmm..... bad connection between the starter and the battery maybe?

Let me tell you though, for a car with 182k miles on it, my 94 Cavailer Z24 rocks! That 3.1 came through when the mighty sedan won't... that's my vent for the day.. got any clue why it won't start before taking it to the dealer?

Good lord it was like 10 degrees out... (according to a bank temp screen)

is your car an automatic? if so, check to make sure it is completely in park. that is a fairly common mistake.

i had an auto protege5 that used to do that. you had to turn the ignition on, take it out of park, put it back in park and then it would start. weird.

The car was in park, tried starting in netural that day too.. nothing, I'm thinking the connection between the two just wasn't going to happen (not my day). I also found out that I have an exhaust leak where the pipe meets the muffler , you can see the exhaust fumes pouring into the cabin where the back seat is if your idling. weird...

Perhaps a faulty starter. Have the dealer take a look. could be the solenoid not working if you heard a spinning noise or it could be the sarter motor if you heard nothing.

Maybe just a loose starter cable... or a bad starter.
Let us know what happens.
