58,000 lbs jet engine x 4 vs car
I dont think they had all 4 engines running, actually i know they didnt. I'm an A&P Technician / Avionics technician aka i work on and fix airplanes and what not for a living. A 747 cant sit on the runway like that and run all the engines at ful throttle for any amount of time because with the brakes locked the massive thrust will throw the huge plain forward no matter what they do. That was the strength of just 1 jet engine at full throttle. They were insane close the the exhaust outlet. I beleive the rule of thumb is like 200 ft away with engine at idle. Anyways cool movie. Watched someone drive a new pick-up truck behind a jet one time and it was quite far away. Still tossed it and rolled it over once.
