so tonight after hanging out with the guys i was just cruisin down deerfoot not speeding just enjoying the ride when i look at my dash and there she was just sitting there mocking me my first CEL so tomorrow i will be taking it to work to see what set it off and then monday i will be booking it in to get repaired if necessary. the damn things only got 21,000km's

chris now don't you think that i would have checked it. it came on randomly as i was doing 110km/h down deerfoot. no driveability issues so it can't be that bad.

i dunno never checked but i filled up like a week ago. i'll go check right now and let ya know.

so no the gas cap was not loose. i guess i'll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out exactly what set it off.

 

The check engine light goes off when you have interior sex lights and havent gotten "any"

 

My light was on for 4 days because of the stupid gas cap.

 

your a funny guy jase lol. i'll remember that the next time i see you. but all jokes aside i scanned it and it was a random misfire. so i cleared it and if it comes on again then i'll have to book it in but until then she's all good at the moment.

what would cause the misfire though.. as far as i know you keep yours in tip top shape

 

i do keep it in tip top shape and the moment anything goes wrong with it i get it fixed so i dunno the code that was stored only said random misfire so i dunno. but like i said it's cleared and hasn't come back on yet so it can't be that bad but if it happens again its going into the shop.

 

mine keeps popping on and off.. whenever i want to take it in it shuts off

that sucks. but elec if you don't disconnect the battery the code is still stored so if you take it in and get them to scan it they will be able to find it - assuming they know what they are doing.

last time i got one it was clutch positioning sensor.. i think it's that again since everyone ones in a while my cruise doesn't work.

 

ya you should still get them checked even though they go out. could be something worse ya never know. its like gambling sometimes you get lucky and other times not so lucky

 

psh i gamble alot.. and i usually win..

once i'm not working 60 hrs a week i will lol of if it starts flashin
