What is the OUTSIDE diameter of the stock LSJ exhaust at the muffler on both ends of it?

I thought it was 2.5, 2.25 where it bends to go over the rear

everything is 2.5" besides the bend by the rear driver side tire,thats where it turns into 2.25 and into the muffler

Its 2.5 (before bend over) > 2.25 (bend/over rear/bend again) > 2.5 (before muffler and out to the tip)

so now my question is,why are people paying 500+ bux for catback exhausts,when they can go to a shop and have that 2.25 piece changed into a 2.5 and save 400+ bux...thats what i did,plus looks stock and sound nice

The stock muffler is very restrictive as well .

not really,ur just payin for the stainless steal exhaust system..its not like the cobalt can live 50yrs,even if it does,id still rather pay 50 bux for an catback non-stainless,than a 400bux cat back stainless with same or similiar hp gains
