The covers are painted and it looks like they painted the hoses as well.

The hoses are a sleave kit, nylon I think. Just cut the sleaves, feed them over the hoses and heat shrink the ends. The paint on the covers is Metalcast red. If you paint it over bare shiny metal, it looks anodized. The covers have a silver base coat with the metalcast red over it. The stuff is heat resistant too. Kinda comes out as a candy red. You need lots of coats though, or it looks orange in the sunlight.

The only thing I did not like about the sleave kit is that the heat shrink is clear. Hello, majic marker.

Yea, a little, but pretty simple. Just did one at a time untill I was happy.
