Have you heard anything about the SS being delayed? Heard/read a rumor that they stopped shipment on the SS this week due to defects.

 

thats old news...only things hanging up the line right now are the robots...

those bugs are probably worked out by now...

the build date on the site that i have access to still says mid-january for retail SS building

 

That news was from today, not the original delay.

 

havent heard anything at all...so we should be pumping them out any time now.i know they just wanna make sure everthing is perfect before they go into full production of the ss and coupes for that matter.i'll let ya know if i hear anything.

 

I was visiting the guys at my dealership today and we looked up the hold on the Cobalt SS. The hold is on the sunroof, so if you ordered an SS without a sunroof they are building it. We took took the sunroof off of our order so that they will build it faster, it is just for inventory so no big deal. I'd imagine most of you ordered with a sunroof (I would) so that is why they are delayed.

The sedans with sunroof were being produced in limited quantities, so maybe they just don't have enough sunroofs.

 

i checked on my order and they havent got the vin so im guessing they didnt make it yet. i'll b sure 2 post the delivery date as soon as i get it (i didnt order the sunroof though)

 

the sunroof issue i think has been solved...that was a problem in the first stages of production.that line is near were i work and they seem to be runnin fine last time i looked which was wednesday..unless its a problem in the east plant.

 

I ordered mine iwth a sunroof, and still haven't got a VIN yet.

 

went by the lot today plenty of coupes in the lot..no ss's that i could see..but at least there are coupes ...shouldnt be long now before ss's start coming....ill keep ya posted
