Crystal Auto glass quoted me 320 for the Windshield and about the same for my drivers side window. I had the car parked on the side of the street and we have lots of dump trucks driving up and down that road and one night (couldn't hit someone elses car) I think a rock got spit up and hit my window and left a big scratch just above eye level.

F**kin trucks

In Florida if you have full coverage insurance you get it fixed for free

You can get glass insurance here als but by the time you pay your deductable you may as well pay for them yourself. Windshields are relatively cheap here because of all the rocks on the roads during winter. The province does not use salt, they use gravel instead so replacing windshields is a common occurance come spring in Alberta.

Luckly I drive deerfoot to and from work every day and well you know deerfoot at rush hour (slow) so I have not seen any new rock chips on the hood so thats good. I do need a new windshield though as mine is all pitted. I really do hate those f**kers in there 4x4's that love to do the old 4 lane switch and kick **** at you. I feel like following them and when they park go grab a few hand full of rocks and throw them at there vehicle and see how they like it. haha

I got a good rock already. Dead center right on the nose of the hood. Dime size chip. Lame. Oh well I have a hail damage claim going already so It will get fixed in the spring.

I have a friend that works at Apple Auto Glass here in town, I will ask her tomorrow

My windshield busted really bad could barely see out of the passenger side anyways

I took it to Moore's Glass Calgary it was $250 or $260 which was the cheapest I could find

ok so im bringing this up cause i dont think i can wait til spring.

So i had a female crack eyeing a male crack from the passenger side of the window. Well, male crack decided to make a move..the female crack responded cause she liked him. Well they partied it up with a bang i might add (it sounded like a huge rock hit my window) and well now i have a family of cracks all in a circle... so now i have to replace the window... (i could go for awhile but im just gonna get it done)

anyone else wanting to get theirs done? cause i'll ask when i make the calls
