Ingalls ETD Installation/Performance Review
Ingalls ETD Installation/Performance Review
Quick Overview:
So I got my Ingalls ETD for christmas and installed it on Christmas Day. Installation take all of 15 minutes on stock settings. 2 bolts, 2 nuts, put on brackets, retighten, bolt on ETD and youre done. Fine tuning the ETD is the longest part (which took about 30 minutes test fitting/driving 2 or 3 settings).
Total installation time: 30-45 minutes.
Now normally I'm skeptical on power gains and performance difference with mods and seem to have less expectation and response from mods than others on this forum however this one in particular I am very surprised with. Instantly driving the car afterward I noticed a difference in the car's feel.
The car seems to respond better on the throttle and the driver also seems to get more response from the car (vibration, clutch engagement, throttle response). While many board members mention the vibration (which I was worried about) and are correct about the increase, I must say that the vibration is NOT worth throwing the ETD out of your product selection. It is marginally more noticeable and if you have ever driven a 10 year old sports car, kinda gives the same feel (brings back memories of my 94 3000GT), makes it feel more powerful and sporty if you ask me. Onto driving differences. I took the car for a spin and 40 rolls are 10x more fun. If you thought the instant power from the SC was good already, wait until the engine movement is almost reduced to nothing. Feels much stronger, no hesitation and very aggressive. Clutch is much more responsive both from stops and gear shifts. The shitty feeling you get from our crappy stock clutch is reduced during shifts from 1st to 2nd under load and feels better from 2nd to 3rd as well. I didn't get to try a launch of any sorts recently as roads have been wet and it started raining on my test drive but i will update later.
Overall this mod was well worth its mid 100$ price. The noticeable difference is probably equal to that of Stage 2 in my oppinion. While it does not increase horsepower on a dyno, it sure does in the butt dyno. If you're looking for more power and not sure what to get, this is it. This will satisfy you more than your Cat-back and/or Intake would as far as what you the driver (or passenger) feel, not to mention your axels will thank you, and you will thank yourself. Thank you THMotorsports for the great price and the quick shipment, making it in time for christmas
. Keep up the awesome sales.
