Just a plain black Z24 with a turbocharged 3400 v6 and a manual trans . You could build a car like on the cheap side . The Z's are dirt cheap , you can buy 3400 for 500 or less and a f40 6-speed for under a grand , do a 3.5 intake and head manifold , cam and DYI turbo . Theres few more 3400 and 3800 j-bodies making alot more power than this one , I just thought the plainness off this one was kinda cool .

there are a lot of older z24s (2nd gens) with 3400 swaps. basicly all you need to do is build a custom front mount bracket and the motor drops right in. doing it on the cheap for around $500 you can have a mid 14 second car. welding up some turbo header, a t3/t04e on a stock motor at 10psi will get ya into the 12s. doing the work yourself you can litterally get yourself a 12 second car for under $2500, including the cost of the car.
This one is pretty sweet too . The car itself is beyond repulsive to look at ....the mechanicals are sweet . Turbocharged 3800 and a stick . This set up in the black car above would a great project car make
Thats one of the best sounding 3.8's Ive heard going down the track .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTlO4henO00

actualy the v6 was in the j-bodies 85-94, and plany of them made. the sunbird/firenza had the option of the 2.0l turbo, but that was a limiting motor.
dropping a v6 into a 3rd gen isnt that easy. the 3400 will bolt in if you use a weak isuzu tranny that came with the 2.2l. to keep the factory gauges its a wiring nightmare. also if you need to worry about emmissions, you have to run a factory wiring harness and pcm, and intigrate the 3400 and j-body. if you dont, run a megasquirt computer and autometer gauges and your good to go. still a ton of fab work though.

I used to own a 3400 turbo j-body, hence my screen name. It was a very fun car but pain in the ass to keep running right. I had well over 2500 in my build but i went all out with 3400, forged pistons, cam, custom headers, to4e turbo etc. I sold the car last year for 4500 dollars. Easy 12 second car with those mods. Only problem with the j-body car is that it isn't very relieable with that power. Transmissions are weak if you get much more power and axles don't last long.
