I think you should deff be getting an exhaust first since you already have a 2.85 pulley. Also, I hope you have that bad boy tuned.

The airbox mod is good, but i would suggest the exhaust and a CAI with your mods...make the car breathe a little better!

would and exhaust really make that much difference? i have a magnaflow muffler, but i read somewhere that opening up the exhaust diameter may increase HO, but loses TQ...no?

and ya....the current setup was purchased from Rebel Auto Worxs...came with a tune lol

On stock cars it does, but now you are moving more air, and it needs a bigger place to go lol someone correct me if im wrong!

But then again, im kinda being a hipocrite for telling you that LOL but i atleast have stg 2 tune.

Yea it would make a difference cause you have a CAI and more boost, imo you need a downpipe, catless or not, you still need one. From what i have heard a 2.5 with your mods will only do you good, with a 3, you would loose low end for sure, but once again im not an expert at this.

I suggest you get the 2.5 catback you wont loose as much torque than with a 3 in.you loose that much torque it might even help your launch a bit.you wont hop as much

Not sure on the whp as a ton of conditions can affect that but I will say you absolutely DO NOT need an exhaust to make power, will it help? yes, but not as much as most think... Our cars have very decent stock flowing exhaust systems. The most restrictive part of the actually exhaust is the hump over the rear axle and the muffler. I am still running the stock muffler because I don't want the car to sound "ricey"... however I am also running a header and 3" catless dp.

I made 250 whp and 235 wtq with stock airbox and stock catback on a 2.8 with 60's. Conservative BCP tune and a catless dp for wideband use. You should be in that area.

every car is different. please don't assume that someone else's dyno numbers will be what you put down.

i pulled 262 out of a 3.06/42.5's/header/dp/catback/intake car {mine}
also pulled 262/240 out of a 2.85/42/intake/wi/gmh/dp/catback car.

does this mean your car will do anything close to this? not likely. im not trying to be a dick, im just being honest. there is to many factors being thrown out the door on this. everyone with hpt has a different tuning style. some are more agressive than others, some are conservative.

You got that rigght some people that tune dont give a **** about your motor and will do everything just so you see high dyno numbers and get lost while others might make your car run a little safer with less horse power . i think ill choose option 2 and im sticking with my guess of 231 and ill bet 5 bucks its not over 240

you will be lucky to break 235 IMO with completely stock exhaust.

thats holding you back right now.

instead of meth and 2.7, get some exhaust work done.

Ya... you two are on crack, I already make 229 with the airbox mod alone.
