Red face The cobalt a kid's car?

My wife told me the other day that I drive a kid's car and that I'm gonna look silly driving this car when I'm in my 30's. Right now I'm 23 and I thought that I was gonna keep my car for a long time and continue to mod it over the years but now I'm rethinking that. She said I need to get something like a GTO or G35 thats more grown looking. I guess she's right but I am still pretty young so I guess I'm a kid.

Yeah! What's funner than beating a kid in the same type of car?!

I plan on keeping mine for a while and I'm almost 26.

Well..... I'll be 31 next month and I love my car!! I would hardly consider it a kids car but if people want to look at it that way then so be it. Everyone is intitled to the own opinion!! Oh and I plan on keeping my car for a min. of 5 years, thats when its paid off..... hehehe!!

I'm 26, a government employee, and I drive an '07 orange SS/SC with a big wing! I love my car and I plan on keeping it for a while! I don't plan on getting a "grown up" car for a long time!

Guess I'm a kid too... turning 40 next month (acting like 20).

Bought my Balt for the overall performance/value.

My Balt avgerages 27-28 mpg in ATL traffic , 30-32 Hwy. It has the power to pass slow left lane drivers when the opportunity presents itself. I paid less than $18k for it. And it looks awesome.

I love my Balt!!!

******' a right, same thing goes for people calling it a chicks car.

Hot chicks drive the same car I do.

Guess what, cobalt meets = meeting possible hot chicks

What's so wrong with that?

I agree, Im 28 and love it. Not to mention Old like grandparents old people constantly come up and ask what kind of car it is and stare at it etc. They like the look. Then theres the older men in like AMG benz's and all that punch it on nice stretch of road and see me keep up. At the light dudes are like man thats quick what is that thing?

Its all in how you present yourself i believe.

I can see where you are coming from. When I bought my GTO my girlfriend said that that she felt that the cobalt was a boys car and the GTO was a mans

**** I'm 24, in the Air Force, and have my 06 Cobalt SS/SC modded to holy hell, a gutted 95 Acura Integra Turbo'd, and my Chevy Colorado ZQ8. I don't think it's a kid's car at all. The reason being is that kid better have a good job because I know my first and second car didn't sticker for anywhere near $25K! To hell with what other people think, if you enjoy it keep rollin' the way you do!

well first off, you see TONS of you/old/middle aged people driving all kinds of balts all the time in my area... by no means would I consider it a "kids" car. Also, I do like he g35, but it's super expensive, and the GTO doesn't look any more like an "adult" car than the cobalt...

That's funny, I'm 42 and I traded in a 2004 LS1 6sp GTO on my '06 SS/SC. The GTO was great, but, a bit too serious. The Cobalt is much more fun, handles better and get twice the MPG.
