Anyone on here involved in I-4 pile up?
4 people dead, 38 injured...
I read in my school newspaper a quote from an on scene cop. He stated, ' Today, I watched a man burn to death.' He also said he heard cars continue to smash into each other while he tried to help someone...he couldnt see them though...just sound...how scary..
The pictures are nasty. They said you couldnt see your hand in front of your face...

If everyone kept on going like they were it wouldn't have been as bad. Some people stopped, then the others ran into those that were stopped. If everyone just went on for about a mile, this wouldn't have happened.
But, it happens all the time in Florida, during the summer when it rains so bad you cant see but for 10 feet, everyone slams (and I mean slams) on the brakes which is what causes the crashes.
I honestly think a few crappy drivers caused this while thing.
Another messed up thing I heard, not sure if its true or not, but they said that the cops were out there putting wreckless driving tickets on all the wrecked cars.
I hate cops, I think that they would do that, get there quota knocked out early so they can just chill in the cop car sleeping somewhere.
This scares me actually, I havent heard from my girlfriend in a couple days and she lives in florida, in orlando so I dont know how far that is from polk. Not that Im trying to jump to conclusions.
might wanna call her... i looked on a map and I-4 os the path between orlando and polk..there not that far apart
Damn, 70 total cars. That's insane. Condolances to those who have passed...
I was driving in Westchester County, NY today on 9W and the visibility was pretty bad with the fog. I could only see about 10 feet, if that, in front of my car. All it takes is one person to stop/crash I guess for it to happen...
On a more lighter note, has anybody here seen the movie "days of thunder?" Those who have will know what i'm talking about.

I just looked at the map too, and Ocoee, where she lives, is damn close and I heard her talk about driving on I4 before, but I dont know what she would be doing on there at that ealry in the morning, cuz didnt it say it happened at like 5am?
Im 10 minutes from Ocoee. I don't know why you would be over that far at 5 am unless you worked over that way. But that was a bad bad crash. It seems to me when it rains or is hard to see people drive faster and crazier. Slow the hell down and arrive safe.
What causes these is the ignorant people that stop in the traffic lanes instead of moving off to the side -- there are others that think they can drive in this mess. I was heading up I49 in LA during a rain storm last November and there were ignorant people that were stopping in both lanes. Sometimes I wonder if they do it so they can get insurance money for getting rearended.
