That looks sick! What kind of prep work did you do to the supercharger?

I used some high heat engine paint....just a flat black. Made sure and cleaned the blower really well before. Sanded down and polished up the ribs on the blower, then taped up everything I didn't want paint on. I'm pretty happy with how it came out.....looks alot better then stock, gave it a little something different under the hood to

I really like what you did with the SC, it looks a ton better and isnt too flashy at all. Very clean and classy.

It looks very good, but the only thing preventing me from doing that is that paint traps a lot of heat within the supercharger and does not allow it to release it efficiently. This will hurt performance of the vehicle. If you don't care about that, then cool.

I thought of that as well......I doubt it will matter so much for the driving I do, and the occasional romp on it. Even when the track days come around, it's a pass down the track then parked for a while. But to each their own.

Very nice... when I painted my blower I just did the whole thing black... I like the touch with leaving the ridges nice & shiny though.

What kinda paint did you use?

I used some semi-gloss black on mine.

Yea, I saw yours at steves that night....looked like it came out good. How'd the finished product turn out???

I wanted to do something a little different, so I just polished the ridge up a little and left them unpainted. Just used some high temp. flat black engine paint...

That just dosen't make sense to me... engines in cars always used to be painted... and I've seen plenty of black blowers around... just not on our cars. Manufacturers aren't painting the stuff anymore b/c it saves money.

If anything... I do seem to remember that black colored objects actually radiate heat better than lighter colored onew.

Mine looks great... contrasts nicely with the red valve cover and black strut bar. Hopefully more people will jump on with this kinda stuff... cheap and easy to do... and looks great.

Did you have to pull the supercharger to do that? seems kind of hard to get around the intercooler fill tube and other obstacles. Looks kick ass though. And what grit paper to polish the ridges? Awesome job.

yes, I removed the supercharger....took the throttle body, and everything elese off the blower that comes off. For the ridges I used 600 grit, 800 grit, then 1000 grit to smooth it out really well....
