got any idea what my cobalt is worth..?

k so i have an 07 cobalt LS i have 30,000 miles on it. clean title, i'm the only owner, it still has it's warranty.
i have 18" rims, lowering springs, DC sprt strut bar, K&N intake, full Blaupunkt sound sytem, and a high rise wing. you guys can see pics in my gallery.
please tell me what you think. i checked KBB and they gave it $9500, does this sound right?
thanks for your help!

9500 is very high. i wouldn't expect more than 7k as a realistic #. and the mods are hurting the resale value, not helping. people are more hesitant to buy a car that's not stock, and especially an 07 with 30,000 miles.

you will almost never get close to blue book on a cobalt. if you get an offer for 7 or 8 k, jump on it before they change their mind.

i was considering taking the mods off, i have all the stock parts. you think that might help a little. i just figure some kid is going to see it and be like, mommy daddy buy it for me for my first car!

of that i have no doubt, but luckily i only paid 11.5k for it brand new so i'm not losing that much if i can get close to 9k for it.

Thats alot of miles for an 07 thats why your value is so low. I was considerng trading mine in on an 08 Malibu but said forget it cause I love no car payments (Balt is paid off!)

Anyway mine is an 07 SS sedan, auto, sunroof and 18,000 miles on the clock and I they offered to give me $16,000 in trade for it on the Malibu. Hell I only paid $12,000 for it brand new out the door what with my Cavi in trade that was also paid off. Figured I'd keep it cause like I said no car payment! Its a beautiful thing.

Selling it yourself Vs trading it in is the only way you'll get the most $ for it.

Part of your problem will be that a person in the market for a Cobalt can get a new car loan for nearly the same (or less) monthly payment as a loan for your used Cobalt. People tend to look at monthly payment amounts more than the length of the loan.

damn Jack thats a deal. Mine is also paid off as of like not that long ago.
but i also own an antique Camaro, and with going to college, rent, insurance on both cars. and other expenses. i just can't do it anymore. i'm going to buy a motorcycle, and a junker, have them both paid off, keep the Camaro, and pay less combined for insurance than my balt.

and yeah that was the excellent condition. which it is, you think with a private party sale i might get 9...?

You probably could get 8-9 for a private party but as far as a dealer... no way

Excelent condition doesn't exist in the real world! An excelent condition car has no outside signs of any were at all, I'm betting yours does just because you drve the thing. Look at the very good as thats the best a dealer will give you.

thanks for the heads up!
i just assumed being new with all working parts and a clean body would suffice.
damn ppl!

honestly i mean yeah you want the car to look nice, but when it comes down to it its the engine that makes the car go, i never beat on it, have regular oil changes, at the dealer, regulaar maintenance, all that good stuff. a small dent in the side is the least of my worries when it comes to buying a car.

it's unfortunate, but the general public think the cobalt sucks. it's just a cavalier. that's the main reason why the resale value sucks, because no one wants one.
