View Full Version : New products???
ClearImageAuto Dan 01-22-2008, 03:38 AM We would like to know what other products you all are interested in seeing designed and manufactured. Currently we are working on a couple R&D projects for various vehicles. One is a harness bar for the 94 - 96 Impala SS. We designed another for a WRX last year and I haven't seen any available for the Cobalt. Suggestions are always welcome. There seems to be a very strong local Cobalt club here and I'm betting we could get a couple of them to donate their cars for some R&D work. :)
Let's here it everyone. How often do you get the chance to tell a manufacturer what YOU want built? :lock: You think it up and we'll built it. Please keep the suggestions reasonable and non-sexual.
Super_SS 01-22-2008, 03:46 AM i would like to see a harness bar made...we can always use that, especially for auto x or road course racing, and not to mention not having people want to sit in the back seats
ClearImageAuto Dan 01-22-2008, 03:51 AM not to mention not having people want to sit in the back seats
Should we make it adjustable so you can rotate the bar up to teeth level? ;)
Seriously though, when some of the local NW guys chime in, we'll see if one of them is willing to drop their car off for a day. It shouldn't take longer than that.
That's one product. Keep them coming.
Thanks.

REIGN SS 01-22-2008, 04:10 AM Moved to your forum, please only use the Supporting Vendor Deals & Group Purchases section once you have a product & sale going on & not for gaining interest in R&D.
Thanks :cssNET:
ClearImageAuto Dan 01-22-2008, 04:47 AM Thanks. I haven't become familiar with this site yet. I didn't realize I even had my own forum. :)

How about making seat brackets for aftermarket seats, them suckers would sell really well :)

they are tryin to make something that isnt out there yet...everything u have typed there is out other than the seat brackets and harness bar,so i vote HARNESS BAR
Cobalt4Life 01-22-2008, 06:14 AM actually both harnesses are out by cobalt addiction.. well hey extra compaies making similar products gives you better choices wouldnt ya say??
they asked what we'd like to see and i told them..
how about a performance radiator with copper fins... urethane bushings for control arms and other parts..
uwishuhdmyecotec 01-22-2008, 07:42 AM I just bought the harness bar from cobalt-addiction. even though i didnt want to spend $300 for it, they were the only ones that made it. How about the entire lower control arm with urethane bushings and performance ball joints (do our cars even have ball joints on the control arm? lol)
spike 01-22-2008, 02:52 PM how about a cheap-ish 3" intake for the ss\sc..................i dont even care if it has a maf bung or hose hookup 4 the valve cover.............u can keep that and just make a 3" pipe.........
Co|3aLt $$ 01-22-2008, 03:13 PM lol... aftermarket seat brackets ftmfw. no joke AT ALL there. also, more companies competing with different products equals good things for everyone (more competition = better products/prices, more variation = more customization, more customization = more attention to cobalts = more money for vendors! :)) Also, the valve covers and dress up kits are an awesome idea. that is something that you can never have enough companies making, since they're supposed to be different...if everyone has the same dress up kit...its' stock. lol
ClearImageAuto Dan 02-07-2008, 12:15 AM Thanks for all your interest everyone. We just finished severl custom projects; 72 Nova exhaust, 02 supercharged LS1 Camaro headers, Y-pipe and exhaust and 68 Ford Bronco custom headers and exhaust.
We now have the rack open and have been able to start on other projects. One was designing a harness bar for the 94 - 96 Impala SS. We have another couple hours to get it production ready.
Soooo, if anyone in the local area has a car available for a few days, we would like to use your car for some R&D. We are a small shop so we can not offer free products, but we can offer cost of materials only for the R&D product.
Let us know if anyone is interested.
Thanks again.
Also, we will be at the Puyallup Swap Meet in the Pavillion this weekend. We will also be at the Seattle Roadster show at the end of the month.

ClearImageAuto Dan 02-07-2008, 12:35 AM Well, all the East Coast owners are interested and awake. Where are all of the West Coast owners? Come on guys, someone bring us a car. I promise we wont chop it up or change the color while it's here. :)

WhiteSSBalt 02-15-2008, 03:47 PM I'd def buy a nice up-sized radiator if someone made one. Also, how about an aluminim airbox style intake? That'd be sweet.

NWAE Cobalt 02-15-2008, 05:09 PM i think ur my hero nwae
haha, no prob :D being local to the shop is nice :D
CobaltMagic77 02-15-2008, 06:01 PM X2 on the airbox style intake, great idea. Also, in one of the other threads that you had started a 2.2 header that is compatible with sai. Last but not least, maybe some street/track cams that can be used on the 07s and up with the cam position sensor, for both F/I and anyone wanted to go NA. Also I am SOOOO happy to hear about the 2.2 tuning possibility, thanks for at least looking at it for us!!!!!
co-yellow-balt 02-15-2008, 06:05 PM im saying go with tinted tail light covers, and you definately need them to be a reasonable price.
tru2nrtt777 02-18-2008, 09:42 PM seat brackets, harness bar, rear strut bar.
Fire_Starter 03-24-2008, 10:22 PM Since you guys are in my old town I demand you help me! I hear you guys have a 2.4 tune out, and it works pretty good? How does it hold up compared to a HPtuners tune? If I was to get a big bore trottle body can you tune for that as well? Also what about rev limiter, can you guys remove that when in neutral? I have a 2.4 Auto and would love to use a hometown tuner more then some random stuff. Thanks in advance Dan and Vince.
Co|3aLt $$ 03-25-2008, 10:34 AM PM Dan he's a pretty busy fellow, but they can in fact tune for all that stuff except the tranny (they might be able to but I'm not 100%) and yes, the tune that I got (which was a pre-tune, not even their dyno tune) kicks some serious ass, get yourself strapped to their dyno and I'm sure they'll treat ya nice ;)
