Stolen Parts Investigation

Just got an e-mail for a detective from midland texas about that guy that got busted selling stolen stage II kits on e-bay. Damn, looks like this guy is screwed from the number of people that the e-mail was addressed to! Anybody ever hear what happened after he got busted?

this has been going on for a while, there's quite a few posts on it, so i'm sure he's screwed big time. he probably has to pay for all the kits, plus penalties, etc. he will probably owe thousands, as well as the charges for stealing the parts. not sure what the dealer cost is, but say it costs 400/kit, and there's 50 of them, that's 20 grand!

I bought a kit on ebay for 300 dollars but was legit.
The person you refer to was asmokinss / 1fastlittlecar.
And yes his account was closed and the item sales sup-openaed (can't spell) so that is why so many of you guys where contacted today.
I really hope they nail this guy as its scum like this that make prices so high to offset the loss of those like him who steal them.

I got mine from the guy who stole them not knowing they were stolen. Shortly after I found out the kits were stolen he changed his user ID on ebay. If I did my math right, he sold 60+ stage 2 kits. Sucks to be him.

no, they dont want the stuff back...kinda pointless...they just need witness statements that you bought from him. I started a thread about this months ago...lol Detective Bill Anderson was the guys name, and he called me and many others. He has the Paypal/shipping records for all the kits, so he will be contacting everyone as he gets info...

Last time I checked the MFP tape, dealer net was $525, so at that price, it would cost him $26,250!

Yup, I just recieved the email, and there is over 140 people on the list that I recieved that the email is being sent to. I paid 350 from 06FastCar for mine in Aug.
They dont want the parts back as the email states they were bought in good faith. Just any shipping reciepts etc for the kit.
