Decisions...(build.... kinda)

Well after some thought I am keeping my balt. So I guess I should start a thread of what I have done so far. Its an 05 2.2. I have tinted the tail lights, gmpp header/exhaust/cai.
I have 17" AR haze rims, and just ordered sportline lowering springs. Should be ordering either a turbo/supercharger kit for it. I need opinions on which one to go with though...

I will have pictures up in a bit with all the pics of my mods/work done to the vehicle.

as far as getting a turbo or supercharger.....i say wait to see what hahns new kit with the 20g or 35r can do. there's a whole thread on there progress with the 2.0 they're building and they said the kit will fit on ours (2.2s) it just wont bolt right on like on a 2.0 but yeah the projected numbers look pretty beast.

Okay so I ordered tires on thursday 215/40R17 BFG G-Sport. Should be decent now I just gotta wait for some good weather so I can test fit them and then go from there on which lowering springs to get.

Also where did everyone buy their c/f hoods from? Speedtech wanted $500 for an OEM one, does anyone know where to get one local for cheaper?

you've got an 05?? if so then tuning is a bit more difficult... the only tuning available is the canned tune with the garrett turbo kit.. or you can go with standalone/piggyback.. noone else has cracked and released tuning for our ecu

Sell your car and buy mine it will be way cheaper and faster in the long run. I' ll include a rear sway bar and stainless brake lines. And sell you the nos kit I still have to put on for $500. So lets say $19500
no gst.HAHA.

your best bet is to buy chris's car!!

IF you get the garrett turbo kit it DOES come with a tune to make the turbo work right.. you just cannot modify it at all to say up the boost or tune for new cams etc..

Finally got my tires... Went with 215/40/17 BFG G-sport, seem like a decent tire for the money. Also is it worth getting one of these? http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...=657&catid=144

Finally, where does everyone shop locally for parts for their cobalt?

i don't really think you need a wideband, we can't really tune our cars and even if you get the garrett turbo you still can't custom tune it. So save your money for now!

Most parts I get on the net, or through group buys on this site.

Okay well if anyone is interested in ordering parts I am down to save shipping costs... I am looking to get short shifter, rear sway bar and a twin lower subframe bar.

Cash mainly, plus that probably wont be till the summer...
There is a difference to saving ~$3000 then, $20000.
