DR's V2

Picked up these two tires from a shop here today, they are off the 350Z that was on Pipes on ESPN2. only had 2 passes on them so i convinced them they couldnt sell them and told them i would give up $150 for the two haha. just mounted them up on some stock wheels and will be using them occasionally on the street and at Cville. 245/40/18's. it was nice to experience this whole traction thing again.

so now i have 2 sets of wheels with 3 different types of tires on them haha

mk, i would think i shoudl be able to knock off a tenth or two with the dr's and mounts. anyone care to give me a quarter estimate with a 8.4X 1/8 and a 10.8X 1000?

i was able to cut off at least 3 tenth's off my ET with jus DR's on my IRL on stock mount's.. and with bwoody solid motor mount's and traction bar's it turned into half a second.. i went with taller tire's on stock rim's for dragging. 225 45 r17.. trapping at fuel cut in third at 105+
i have a video of me running an evo 8 at palmdale on street fire with DR's on the stock mount's.. and he rip's me outta the hole( big surise there) but as soon as i catch 2nd i pull back and end up with a lower ET and faster MPH..

mk...

i think a couple tenths are def. in there, but i was pretty confident in my street tire driving so dont think it will be as big of a deal as someone who sucks on stockers (not inferring anything about you particularly, i meant in general)

yeah the stock lop's arent for the track on an IRL.. there for the road course.. tis why i had DR's on an extra set of stock polished rim's.. kinda confused the g35's i raped at palmdale.. powder coated grey on back and polished up front.. it was the launching that really sucked on those tires.. and having to shift to 4th which as you know takes more time..

jus do your self a favor.. if you get traction bar's DONT assume there tight after 15+ run's.. cause i did and i made an ass outta myself bieing the first guy to break an 07 IRL's axel WITH the SMM's and tbar's on. coming off the line at 4k and boosting atleast 12 pound's they went POP and i rolled about 3 feet.. about 800 and all most a month later i had my car back. i had to wait for an axel and the tow from palmdale was 500 it's self.. it was 85 mile tow.

they rub, like a mother. you need a more offset wheel. they are fine for straight liine and only slight turning though
