Your not supercharged so don't rock the SS logo! Your making us look bad when you get smoked by something that is actually fast. It's making me want to take my SS badges off. I try not to point and laugh but its so hard.

Talk to Chevy about the emblem problem

My opinion is simple. Tell Chevy to make it SS (Super Sport) and SC (Super Charged) for 2007 emblems. No more arguments and we all know where we stand.

For the record I pick up my 06 SS Black on the 31st and have no intention of making it into something that it was'nt meant to be.

it wouldnt matter if they had SS or SC emblems...somebody that didnt have the ss or the sc would take the badge and put it on their car anyways

I would like to find an LS owner that put the SS badges on and just ask why?

People have been putting SS or super sport badges on cars that arn't for years. It was very popular to do on the old (67-69) camero's. I have a base and wouldn't put a ss badge on it, but I thought I would just add some possible justification for it.

Sorry all.
Now that you mention it I remember the days when my 1974 Toyota Celica GT had the emblem swiped and a friend racer mentined that some ST smuck probably took it.
Must be getting older cause I thought those days were long gone.

Geez I kinda feel odd now with a 2.4 SS! I wish GM did make it like Hutch said, super sport and super charged, but I think the s/c does diserve the SS badge after all it was the first to get it.. Hey if I get a s/cer put in does that make mine a s/c? lol..

Get over it, accept it as a way of life, it's been going on for years, and while you laugh at them for putting the badges on, guys like me are laughing at you for making it an issue...Again, it's a way of life.

I actually say a base model with SS badges. Sad indeed but what can you do. People will always do irrational things.

I always think those people are not part of any forums, therefore they are ignorant to the fact that they are looked down upon. Some they will know better. I remember when I started driving I taught neons visible all over the interior were cool. Glad I didn’t have them for long

To those requesting to lock this, I don’t see why we can't discuss the issue maturely. So far it’s not out of hand so we’ll let it be

I think he was originally reffering to the Non-SC SS. They are still Nice cars. But I do have to admit if I saw someone with a base model cobalt (like mine) with SS badges I would frown upon them. I saw a cavalier a while ago with SS badges from a cobalt. I laughed and asked him to race. When I beat him I asked how come I couldn't hear his supercharger...lol.

I am a firm believer in the sleeper and I feel that any car that did NOT come with a badge should NOT have it put on. Leave it stock looking on the outside and do all the work under the hood where it counts.

I am looking forward to the day my base model walks all over an SS. (stock SS anyways).
I hope I wouldn't get bashed for saying that, but thats my goal. To make my Base Model be faster than the SS.
