Wait im confused!?

Ok some are telling me its my head gasket and some are saying my M/Intake gasket.

Peanut butter looking stuff in my intake, no signs of bubbles on my dipstick, or my cap no white milky look on either one of them..
Car sounds like an Sti kinda sounds like i have cams, ticking noise in the left side of the motor..

I know i posted some threads about this already but just trying to find out!!!

I have pretty much the same problem. It says Misfire detected, but my plugs and coils are fine. Mine idles rough like i have a cam and i see peanut butter crap outside the gasket kind of.

But wouldnt it be obvious if it was the pistons? Like a loud grinding noise?

not high jacking the thread. But im interested in what this could be as well.

Mines not coming out the gasket mines coming from the valve cover hose that goes to the intake thats where all mine end up in the rubber elbow for the intake and ticking noise but the pulleys and the belt

thats peanut butter looking stuff is what you get when your coolant and your oil mix together. i would get that in to be fixed as soon as possible as its not a good sign. you have a pretty bad leak that needs to be looked at.

ok but im pretty sure where the leaks coming from.. i think its when the coolant line bolts onto the motor coming from the overfill take located on the right side of the motor

if you've got oil all over the place sounds more like a head gasket. whether it be a head gasket or an intake leak both can get pretty serious real quick. they can get to the point that you would have to replace your motor to do warpage or seizure due to improper lubrication.

have u taken the oil cap off,

maybe u destroyed a lifter, u said u hear ticking, what your new rev limiter

do u notice if maybe ur coolant is oily, thats another sign of bad head gaskets,

do u know if your actually getting spark from all your saprk plugs, if the car is it hit and miss it could maybe cause the sti exhaust, but highly doubt it would

yeah all 4 of them, i havent done a leak down test yet but i did a compression test about 3 weeks ago when the ticking began to start, and it was 165,170,175,175

did you do the compression test right.

Step 1. Pull all spark plugs

Step 2. Install compression tester.

Step 3. Crank engine 3 to 4 times

Step 4. Repeat for cyl 2,3 and 4

Step 5. compare to the other cylinders.

that hose is your crank case ventilation system....if you're blowing oil from that hose into your intake tube, that means you're pressurizing your crank-case......there's air blowing by your piston rings, not good

so maybe a crack in the block somewhere or what? im pretty sure its my intake gasket because the guy that did my pulley took of my supercharger and i think he used the same gasket. that could be where the air is coming from dont you think so???

no...no coolant flows through the supercharger to intake manifold gasket. Chances are it's a cracked ring or someting.....but can't really say for sure without looking at it
