and the boat i wanted to take a pic of cuz it was huge but the shutter was open for 30 seconds and well thats what it ended up like...i liked it tho so i did it lol.

that's the only way to learn. keep messing with the settings until you figure it out. was it windy when you took the pics? might be the reason the pics look blurry. not sure which lens you used but does it have stabilization? if so, turn it off when shooting on a tripod.

yah it was windy and i was using my 18-135 wide angle lens. there isnt any stabilization on it to my knowledge.
fck i just rememebered my cheap tripod broke today lmao i have to get a new one now.
no i didnt but i should have lol and ive actually thought about getting a remote at some point but ill use the timer for right now.

i use the timer myself since i don't have a remote, yet. make sure to give it at least 10 seconds just to make sure there aren't any small vibrations inside the camera.
such an easy thing once you realize it...dunno how i never thought of it lol. that should help me out a lot haha.
