Thumbs up Broke 200kmph, just over 120mph..

Finally going to Edmonton for a drive with my friend I got my baby just about past light speed Ok it was 200kmph but what fun Sadly traffic got heavy so we had to slow down. NO TICKETS, suck on that po po and not to mention no governor kicked in yet, any clue when it does on a 06 2.4L manual?

Again a testiment that speeding can be done safely as long as you have respect, the right conditions, properly maintained vehicle, you get what I'm saying, oh and never go beyond your limit

I've gotten my SS/SC up to 220, but just once, on a deserted country road. Did one slow pass to check for cops/potholes, etc, pulled a u-turn and gave-er. Doubt i'll ever do it again, but hey, the car was new, had to try it out.

I have to admit, I am guilty of speeding myself. When I got my balt back in Sept I decided to hit the highway to see just how fast the car can go and see when the governor would kick in. Turns out I hit over 240kph and no govenor. Thats the first time the car seen those numbers (That I know off) and will never again with me behind the wheel.

If you think 200 km/h is fast, you're stupid. If you think doing 200 km/h on a public highway is ok, then you're stupid. You even admitted "traffic got heavy". You had a passenger, so at a very minimum, not only are you putting your life in danger, you're putting theirs in danger as well.

Either way you're stupid.

Dear TheDriver!

READ THIS : https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/war-stories-54/what-happens-when-you-street-race-95276/

Street racing is just plain STUPID. Yes I will admit when I was younger I did it, and I will say it outright......I WAS STUPID FOR DOING IT. Thankfully I never got in an accident or hurt anyone. Yes technically you weren't racing anyone, but pulling that type of speed on a public highway (guessing you were on the QEII) is just plain dumb.

Im not gonna lie, i've had my SS over 120mph once or twice. I got my RX-7 to 147mph once even. But then again, I live amongst the cows, and it was on a long, straight backroad with no houses, and obviously no other cars. Was it stupid? Yes. Will I do it again? Probally not, just wanted to see what my car was made of.

I think everyone speeds a little once in a while but 120 is a little excessive.
Furthermore if you think that people will enjoy you bragging about how you put people in danger... you sir, are delusional

My best friend didn't complain and understood we could have died by the idiot that was a worse driver on the way back from Edmonton, and he was hella dangerous. My friend knows I wouldn't go beyond my limit and din't complain one bit and no drivers (that I never came across did either)He's done 160 in his SRT-4 with his wife, now she whinned and he doesn't even have a supercharger..

It was deserted untill we slowed for traffic then obeyed and respected everyone else duh..By the way the QE2 is a 4 lane seperated in each direction highway..And yes peeps in Alberta I could have crossed the highway..Again if I did something stupid why am I sitting at my lap top yamering on about this? Simple logic of sorts

P.S.
thanks for your comments I'm getting closer to 1000

It would be different if your attitude of going that fast didn't suck *****.

The limiter on a SS/NA is 130 MPH.

Have I been there on public road?

Yes.

Did I make a thread that was all NWA about it?

No.

The word you peeps are looking for is reckless. Not the movie!!

Life is short so take chances or your not living! Just don't kill anyone in the process, that would be just rude
