I bought my '07 SS with GMPP exhaust in November...usually wash it 2 to 3 times a month at a car wash...most times do it myself but now that its winter its not as frequent. Always clean the tip and surrounding areas well. But I have been noticing some corrosion...not really rust, but a brown...yuck...on the sides that wont come off. Not at the bottom where carbon collects...anyone else have this problem?

 

Mine's covered in salt/dirt/**** right now. Looks nastyy. I might wash the car tomorrow so i'll let you know. Is yours winter driven as well? I believe last time I cleaned it there was no corrosion. I try to wash my car at least once a week but with the way the weather's been I think it's been a good 2-3 weeks since mine's seen a good wash.

 

yeah...winter driver snow and salt in CT is kinda rough...but it hasent been THAT bad of a winter here...I dont have anything else to drive tho, that sux...its wierd about the tip...it was about mid january when i noticed it...about two months to the day...on the left side of the tip...just pissed becasuse they charged me for that ****...and i dont want it getting nasty!

 

im taking my tip off so i dont get rust on my exhaust. my tip has a bolt on it that is rustin and touching my exhaust

 

Yours is rusting because your car is soo slow!
