100% going to spray my 2.2

Alright so I have done my research. I am going to buy a dynotune 4cyl EFI wet kit with a purge kit. I will be running a 75 shot so as far as i have read as long as im not stupid with the laughing gas i can get away with only buying colder plugs and some higher octane gas.

Yep, 93, colder plugs are the good ideas. Also pull the plug periodically to make sure there are no signs of detonation.

Have fun!

I'm spraying mine too.

Just bought a used NX Express kit off ebay for $300 shipped

Going stealth setup with the bottle locked in a toolbox in the trunk, covering all the nitrous lines with vacum tubes

Don't you have a TPS switch so it won't spray unless you're in a higher throttle position?

Most nitrous kits will have at tool that will unscrew the stem from the valve. after that you should be able to tap right off it.

It is tough to calibrate the TPS sometimes, if you have a buddy have them hit the program button while you acuate the throttle.. The cobalt's will rest the tps at zero and then jump up to about 30% if the car is off. I don't know why but it ***** up the programming.

Once it is programmed it fine from there.

Hey do you know how many shots a 10# bottle gets ya? Haven't been able to dig up that info anywhere.

depends on how long you hold it what rpms you go from. but i usually go from anywhere from 3.5-6rpms release on shifts and go again. that usually gets my about 30 long hits, but every now and then i just use short burst just so i can catch back up

REALLY rough math...

Q. How long will a bottle of nitrous last?
A. That depends on the level of power being produced. The formula for calculating your nitrous usage is: .8 lbs N2O X 10 seconds = 100 horsepower. I.E. If your system is jetted for 100 horsepower it will use .8 lbs of nitrous for every 10 seconds of usage.

when you shut off the car the throttle plate opens to 30% so it is hard to set it for zero if when it shuts off it goes back to 30%

So you have to reset the TPS sensor everytime you turn on the car?

So multiply .8 by .75 for a 75 shot, .6# for every 10 seconds, divide 9# (a ten pound bottle probably has only 9 pounds of useable nitrous due to pressure loss) by .6, so i should roughly see about 150 seconds or so of useable nitrous?

So basically a full bottle is around $45 bucks, so every 3 seconds of use is about a buck.

Seems reasonable.

I've thought about it...but it just seems too risky.
1. I don't have enough knowledge about it
2. I'd probably get addicted and waste A LOT of money
3. It isn't street legal, is it?
I don't know...I gotta learn more about sprayin'.
