Got my new turbo manifold

Hey whats up guys.I got a new manifold for my turbo swap.I had the hahn manifold before this, but there wasnt enough room for the turbo to clear the firewall properly.Hopefully i wont have a problem with this one.I got the manifold from rebel. The only thing wrong is that it has 2 little pin holes in the weld.Im gonna bring it to a machine shop next week and get it filled in.

This was my old hahn manifold. It was designed for the ecotecs in the jbody. The turbo flange is angled in the opposite direction.

All i need now is enough motivation to actually install this thing, lol.

What size turbo is that? And how much did that run you? I'm looking for a manifold and i was going to get a custom one made out by me, but if the log style fits on your car and has enough room for everything i might run with that.

My only question is were is the dump for the wastegate?? I see the hahn one had one but this one does not... Are you doing an internal wastegate set up?

He's running a Hahn 20G turbo and Rebel manifold. I'm running a T3/T04E with the Vulcan Turbo manifold. But you said you may have one made. That would be your best bet because log turbo manifolds are lacking and will slow spool down.

ya but theres a HUGE difference in price out here. The log ones run between what 300-400. To get a custom one made out here is going to run me 900-1000. Is what the guy quoted me. So i dont know if its worth that much more. ya know?

I'm willing to bet good money that your dump out of the turbo is going to hit the side of the trans mount, no doubt about it in my mind.

and if you shoe-horn **** in there between the half-shaft and the water pump feed like the nasty hahn get up your going to slow down spool even more.

mounting the turbo in a conventional manor on this car is a bad idea, theres no proper room to deal with unless you run a weaksauce turbo.

haha ya B i know, but with me going with hahns race intake manifold i have to pretty much run that route do to the fact that i need a air to air intercooler. I know in the right world this is the way to go but in the house buying trying to mod world it might take me longer than id hope. You should tell andy to try and give me a steal man, cause the funds are running short lol.

thought you ditched that intake?

save up over more time or something, get the rite stuff and do it all at once.

not like 5 times, like we did on my nightmare of a car.

Oh hell yeah, theres tons more room.Heres the clearance with the old manifold, the cold side wouldnt even go on the turbo.

Yeah its the hahn super 20G.And yes,its internally gated.

I'm willing to bet good money that your dump out of the turbo is going to hit the side of the trans mount, no doubt about it in my mind.

Yeah,i know its gonna be close to the trans mount. The downpipe has a pretty sharp 90 degree bend,so im hoping i can get it to clear it.I hope the vband comes in handy if i have to position it at a different angle to make it clear the mount.I havent been under the car in a while,so i forget what kind of clearance issues im was dealing with.

you looking to sell the hahn mani?
Sorry man,i sold it a few months ago.

Heres the intercooler ive had in my room for a few years now.Hopefully i can use it with the inlet and outlet being on the same side and all.Its a spearco,18" long 6" high and 3" deep. These are very efficiant,so im hoping i can make it work. Its been pressure tested and all,so i know its good.

No dude Couldn't do it. It's a sweet piece and like you said do it right and just save up longer to get it done right. There's a couple things i want to talk about with you at the next meet alright B? It has to do with my piping and intercooler set up.
