Save Your money a superturbo is coming!

I e-mailed hahn racecraft about this yesterday.

ME: Hey my name is Jason and I am here on behalf of the cobaltss.net website I am here today to ask you if it is true that the sema show superturbo cobalt ss will be making it way into production or was it a one time thing. See many of us are having a problem wanting to know if we should start saving up for this superturbo system or should we invest in other things like headers and intakes. I as well as many other people are very interested in this product if it were to come out, and I'm sure if its coming out that u can't tell me the price, but if you were a betting man what would you say? Thank you for you time. Jason & CobaltSS.net

Them:Yes we do intend to offer this kit. We are working on the fuel calibrations at this time. We are hoping to bring this kit to market with a price similar to our other turbosystems, however we are too early in the R & D Process to determine pricing right now.

So save up your money, and forget the stage 2 get a superturbo, just think what the look on a stage 2 srt will look like

This is true. I am currently talking to Bill at Hahn about sending my car up there for the R & D Process. I was told it would be 1500$ to get the process started, and depending on the parts I choose and the agreements we make, the price could go up or even could go down. The superturbo kit will be nice, but my suggestion... wait until someone has put it in their car... has driven it for a while, then spend the big money to get it... you NEVER want to be the first one... hehe...

Ill send updates on the R & D Process. It wont start until Feburary 13th, so I'll update then.

No, it is not "twin" charging. I mean, you could look at it that way, but its different.

The SC would be in its stock location, but where the Intake tube runs off, there would be a cut of, or "Y" valve, and another intake tube would be routed behind the engine, to the left side(facing the front of the engine bay) and there would be a turbo of some kind right there. Its an application that uses a Turbo Charger system, along with the Super Charger. It should be pretty sweet, but the only problem is, is the MAS and the fuel timing. Hahn Racecraft is working on one right now that will be sold as a kit.

Theres a difference between having a S/C feed by and turbo and a S/C and a turbo both feeding the engine. IMO if this system is indeed a superturbo set up similar to the porche setup it could produce some insane numbers.

ULTIMATE SS = Stage 3 feed buy twin turbos.

whats the worst that can happen......

Dealer.. What happened?

Me....Not sure sir, just driving down the highway cruise control on at 55 and BANG. This big dent appeared in my hood and the motor made this horrible noise and slowed to a stop.

Dealer... What modifications are done to it?

Me... Modifications... oh yeah, the stage 2 thingy you installed. thats it.

Well see when Hahn comes out with the kit. It should be sick. Just think:

::roll up to the track::

Mustang GT/Cobra/whatever: "Cool looking ricer, what have you done to it..."

Me: Oh, just a few things... Stage 3 clutch, bored out engine, other odds n ends... CAI... superturbo..."

Mustang GT/Cobra/whatever: "What the **** is a superturbo..."

Me: "Oh, its a simple turbo feeding the supcharger... you know... pushing about 430whp... you??"

at first i didn't know if i wanted to trade the car in for something else that already has parts ready for it, I wasn't sure if the cobalt would become as popular for after market parts, like some other vehicles..

Now i'm thinking it's more fun watching competetors try to beat prices, rumors going around, and items like this bad-boy appearing, I can't wait, and i'm extreamly happy I kept the Cobalt!
